A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

I thought the O’Reilly interview was good in that BOR didn’t intimidate our GWB one bit! (Not that I expected him to, but BOR is just so full of himself, imo.) GWB was great. I was very annoyed when I heard some of BOR critcisms of GWB after—should have turned the tv off!

I really wanted to hear Krauthammer (plus I was ironing while watching and wanted to finish up!)—unfortunately he was the last of the three. Laura and the other lady were yuck, but Krauthammer was great. Really, though, you didn’t miss much!

SO glad to see you, STARWISE! Will pray for healing. Can you drink protein drinks--even Atkins Shakes, Ensure, etc. That will help you get calories and protein. Hugs to you.

Can't wait to see pictures from The Villages!! You are right those patriots will go wild for GWB! As I said upthread, I wonder if Tony Snow's dad still lives there. It would be fun for him to see GWB!! (and I sure would love a picture of the two of them!)

Thank you so much for all the information. How refreshing to hear once again from OUR Prsident!!

DrO said Charles whacked BOR in his final sentence by stating that even the Wall Street big wigs didn’t see it coming!

THE BUSH BOOK SELLS
John Podhoretz
According to the Wall Street Journal, Decision Points, the new memoir by George W. Bush, sold 170,000 copies on its first day (and 50,000 ebooks as well, including to me). And a director of merchandising for Barnes & Noble told the Journal: “It’s done incredibly well for us, and it will be our fastest-selling adult hardcover for the year.”
