The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Have a great time tomorrow! What time is the event? I want to know so that I can be thinking of you while you are there (living vicariously!). So excited for you!
LOVE that photo! Thanks very much, dmd25!!!
Thank you so much, patty!
Thank you, STAR!
Rush’s interview, too!

The ausio of Rush’s interview is only for 24/7 members. The transcript is there, however (but we all know we love to listen to GWB speak!). :)

I was number 26-and glad of it when I saw how they were doing it 1000 tickets were given out not counting the 500 held back for the vets..
I love President Bush, his wife, his father and his mom. What dignity and grace.
Attended both inaugurations, drove from Indy to stand before the WH with a poster than said "This war was ALWAYS Saddam's choice". Drove to Troy, Ohio to hold up a sign in support of him when he was speaking at a local high school. And that was as close as I got aside from holding up a 'W' sign at the second inauguration when his car passed by. Laura saw it and pointed it out...lol...I had to sneak it under my coat--and it was cold. That is as close as I have ever been to a president.
I love his for loving us. For protecting us and staying the course. The liberal press and stick it up their fatuous arse's-love is about to pour forth from this nation to a President who 'gets it' and always left me feeling proud of our country and wanting to be a better person.
Deb-I am going with my hsb. Freep mail me if ya wanna meet.
I was just looking at the photo you posted of President Bush chatting with Rush on the phone. Did you notice that Condi’s book is on the desk adjacent to the telephone base?!
BTW: I do have a tape of Oprah’s interview — I will have hubby burn you a copy of it as well!
So glad dear onyx!
The President was phenomenal this morning — thank you for posting the youtube videoclip!
Good eyes about the book. I didn't catch that. I was curious about the magnifying glass, though. I also wondered if Laura took the picture. So glad someone did!
DrDeb has met GWB before! She is practically an old friend of his!
