The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
OH...how I miss this man!!!
Tearful clip.
He was A TRUE CIC.
Text also at the link.
President Bush will also be in the studio with Lauer on the "Today Show WEDNESDAY MORNING" - questions can be submitted on line.
Watch the video at the link for details.... it continues to play.
Thanks, Onyx! I am sure that some of the critics will only
remember “admits mistakes” and will never give him proper
credit for all the strong decisive action he took when it
was necessary!
I forgot to set TIVO. :(
I am counting on nbc to post the entire interview soon.
Wonderful clip....and he DID do his job! And did it well!
Didja rest up good today ? You earned it, girlfriend .. HUGS!
MY (((STAR)))
I was here a little (I’m fibbing... I was here a lot...lol) and I listened to Rush, ate one half of a Key Line Pie (thank you = hugs) and I watched Bristol dance so I forgot to set TIVO and now I’m sad about it. :(
So, Lauer tried to dig at him? Shameful!
I am so happy to read that our President closed the interview by saying “I gave it my all . . . I love America!”
I love what you wrote, STAR.
Bummer! I wish I knew how to re-record it! It was a very good
interview on the president’s side. Lauer was his usual smarmy self! GW can hold his own with that little weenie! LOL!
Sweet you, (((LUVW))) nbc should post it in a day or two.
OR msnbc will replay it. I will be on the ‘look-out.’
I have already set TIVO for Wednesday morning’s Today Show.
I need to get hubby to set ours for Wednesday morning. Do we have a clue as to what time the president will be on there?
Nope. I had to set mine from the first hour. *sigh*
That means speeding forward past their biased news etc.
He did us all and America proud.
Strength and Honor, President Bush!!!
Thanks, (((NordP)))
I knew he would!
Update: Rush will talk with President Bush in the 1pm EST hour.
Just started chapter 2 of Decision Points. Hearing his voice as I read. So conversational, so GWB.
I figured Lauer would do exactly what he did---but still it made me mad!
Our GWB is as you say, though, a man at peace. He is so settled and so principled. A weaselly man like Matt Lauer was not about to upset him!
It is such a pleasure to hear from GWB again. Blessings on the Bushes!!
Amen, NordP!
It is all on the site now--in parts, but it is there! Plus text and pictures.
God bless W.
