The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
BTTT
I am lifting up President Bush in my prayers.
Thank you for the ping. I will be praying for them.I wonder why they don’t bother Obama..after all, he is killing American citizens without a trial, using drones to attack ‘civilians’ all across the middle east, started a war in Libya...not to mention Gitmo is still alive and well. What a bunch of hypocrites!
May God protect him from the evil forces that are still trying to destroy him.
(Thanks for the heads up, Kaslin!)
Thanks STARWISE.
My thoughts and prayers are with President Bush as he travels to Canada this week. Those pathetic lowlifes will never lay a hand on him though, as he will be protected by heavy security and God will be looking out for him as well!
President Bush greeting Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyand
Watch this humorous exchange between the umpire and the President:
Umpire: You know you are going get me in trouble!
GWB: Why is that?
Umpire: Your biggest fan, my wife said, Is the President here? And I said no. I said just Laura came (GWB laughs). So when she sees it I think shes right back up there so when she sees me talking to you, Im going to be in trouble!
GWB: Give her my love!
Umpire: I will!
Thank you for the Wonderful Pings!
Amen! Our Lord Keep our President Safe Always.
Pattyvita, thank you, once again, for these fantastic pictures. The close up of President Bush is especially a nice picture. Was watching the game and heard a bit of the Umpire’s comments.....yep, can understand why he’d be in BIG trouble. But, I think we, here, would challenge his comment on his wife being President Bush’s biggest fan ....lol.
I love seeing our President enjoy himself..along with Laura...he’s sure earned the pleasure of kicking back and enjoying life. Thanks fo r posting these.
No doubt our President will be fine. If he was able to survive 8 years of massive protests when he was in office, then he’ll get through this.
You’re all welcome. It’s always good to see GW and Laura’s smiling faces on any given day.
Of course, prayers for our President Bush - every day.
Love the pictures and links. Thanks so much for posting. I will be cheering on Texas, since my Phillies will not be there. ;>(
Did you notice the cast/bandage on Laura’s left wrist? I wonder what kind of ailment she has.
You’re welcome. Beats me, I have no idea how Laura hurt her wrist. Yeah, we all should root for the Rangers to win the World Series.
Already, the Bush haters on the web have their claws out and wishing for the Rangers to fail JUST because of the connection to Bush and implying that he still owns the team even though he’s not the owner anymore and hasn’t been for years. Boy, I’d like to see them eat up their words and weep if the Rangers do end up winning, that’ll be sweet, ha!
Guess wholl be throwing out the first pitch at the fourth World Series game this Sunday!
“Nowitzki, Bush, Staubach to throw first pitches”
ARLINGTON — Dirk Nowitzki, George W. Bush and Roger Staubach will throw out the first pitch at the three World Series games at Rangers Ballpark.
For Game 3 on Saturday, Nowitzki will throw to Rangers captain Michael Young. The pitch will be the second time this year that Nowitzki throws the first pitch, previously doing so on June 25 after the Mavericks beat the Miami Heat to win the franchise’s first NBA championship.
The national anthem will be sung by Texas native Ronnie Dunn while 200 members of the armed forces will unfurl a giant American flag in center field, and four F-16s will fly over the ballpark after the anthem.
Bush will throw out the Game 4 first pitch on Sunday to club president Nolan Ryan. Bush has a long history with the club, as he was a part of the team’s ownership group from 1989-98. Actress Zooey Deschanel will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” and two CH-47 Chinook helicopters will fly over the ballpark Sunday.
Well, we KNOW that George W. Bush does NOT throw a ball “like a girl”. LOL.
