A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

Hi Snugs, I’ve only joined this forum since June, so I’m fairly new here. It’s been a blast for me to be able to share articles and pics with such people. I very much look forward to seeing your future posts, welcome back!

Aw, what a cute story. That shows that he’s not a picky eater and willing to try new and exotic foods. Thanks for posting this.

Hey Snugs, you’re back! Glad to see you are back on “Month in the Life of George W. Bush”! How are you doing? How’s your Dad? I hope this post finds both doing well!

“One thing really strikes me...how BUSY President Bush was.

Now when you read the schedule for Obama, it’s like this:

10:00 AM Receives the daily briefing
11:00 AM Received the economic briefing
12:00 PM Lunch with the vice-president
3:00 PM Speech in the Rose Garden
4:00 PM Departs for (Camp David, Maine, Martha’s Vineyard, North Carolina, etc.)”

So I’m not the only one who has noticed this! :)
That’s always my first thought reading each of these threads but you expressed it so much better than I could, Miss Marple.

While reading Laura’s book, I wondered how she could possibly have survived her hectic days while Michelle seems to have all she can do modeling her ghastly wardrobe and thinking up yet another item she wants banned. She does have time to plan expensive vacations, tho.

We had no internet for 10 days—it was like being on a desert island! Taking a long time to catch up.

Well, I’ll pass this along to her, since I am obviously NOT Snugs! LOL!

I am happy to see her posting again, too! She’s been such an
asset to this thread for years and has been missed.

LOL! Well, he's braver than I am too, DrDeb!

I'm not about to eat sushi, in spite of our daughters' insistence that it's really good.

Nope. Not me. LOL!

Thanks for the link to that interview, Miss Marple. I'm going to watch it sometime today.

I so much MISS having a President who knows what he's doing and stands up for our country.

What we have lost!
