The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Bush Helps Break World Record
George W. Bush sported some shades, took in a ballgame and broke a world record on Tuesday night.
The former president was part of the crowd at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas, that secured the Guinness World Record for the most people wearing sunglasses in the dark at the same time.
George W. Bush Among Rangers Fans Who Break World Record
Arlington Former President George W. Bush was among hundreds of Texas Rangers fans who helped set a new Guinness World Record on Tuesday night for most people wearing sunglasses in the dark.
While most of the 33,533 people donned shades during the game with the Houston Astros at Rangers Ballpark, the mark to beat was 423 so Guinness officials only bothered to count two sections of the crowd, MLB.com reported.
That group included Bush, who often goes to Rangers games, and club President Nolan Ryan, who were both seen on the big screen when the public announcer told the crowd the record attempt was set to begin after the sixth inning. "I'm pleased to say that 424 people participated in this attempt," said Danny Girton Jr., senior corporate communications manager for Guinness.
The shades were provided to the fans by Reliant Energy as they entered the stadium.
"There were a further unconfirmed 30,000 who helped Reliant Energy in this attempt," Girton Jr. added
Two Video Clips here:
Pres. Bush goofs off in front of camera (Go to 4:33 to see W mugging in front of the camera while Nolan Ryan is doing an interview!)
George P. Bush and his wife Amanda also sat next to W at the game!
Great minds think alike! We both posted the same story at the time! It’s all right, no worries! :)
You've found more pictures then I did. BTW Fox and Friends showed the picture this evening
Oops Fox and Friends is on in the morning, not evening. LOL
Thanks for the ‘shady’ photos, videoclips and articles featuring our record breaking president! BTW: Can anyone name a current presidential candidate (to include Obama) or other politician with a fraction of George W Bush’s personal charm and just plain likeability?! How I miss the good ole days!!
Thank ya kindly for keeping me pinged to Pres Bush things!!
:)

I downloaded this very video via YouTube downloader to my laptop so I could watch it wherever I go. I love the images and the songs.
Mine too...then AND now. It does the heart good to see it! Thanks for posting LUV W!
Awesome! Good idea...we need to be reminded that there really ARE good people in the world. We’ve seen so much evil for the past 3 years.
Enjoy the video...it is SO sweet. Shows just how much that man loves the troops. You can’t fake THAT!!
I have been out of the FR loop for several days, but I sure did see this. So great to see these photos.
Baseball is so great, I’m so glad he is enjoying the game at all levels.
Thanks so much for the ping and the pictures.
Here's President Bush playing golf with the Folds of Honor Foundation founder Maj. Dan Rooney in Dallas last Wednesday, June 29. The Folds of Honor Foundation offers scholarships to children of military servicemen and women who were killed or injured while serving our country.
GWB is currently vacationing with his family in Kennebunkport. Great pic of W, his father and two of their friends posing on the golf cart at Walker's Point on Sunday morning.
Even while on vacation, W is still very devoted to stick to his usual workout routine as he and his biking buddies went for a ride around the Maine bike trails yesterday morning!
Thank you!!
You and your wonderful pictures were missed a LOT! That man
sure looks good for a 65-year old! I guess that’s what he
gets for taking good care of himself...and being completely
happy and at home in his own skin! :)
Great pictures, Patty. Thanks for sharing.
I made this birthday greeting in Photoshop. Pretty neat, huh?
WE MISS YOU!!!!
(Thanks, patty! Cool graphic!)
I guess you prefer Obama.
(btw, protected thread, Cap'n. You can take your BDS elsewhere. There are other insane folks all over this forum. Just not here. :)
