The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Thank you, DrDeb! This poster is fantastic!
Yes, President Bush is vindicated but he will never boast about that. He’s such a special person. Maybe cloning is not such a bad idea.....JUST KIDDING!!
I too love this poster! I plan to display it in my office — it will drive my Chomskyite colleagues absolutely crazy (or at least crazier than they already are)!
That one should do the trick!
Does anyone actually sell the poster anywhere? Wish it was
available at the Bush Library! :)
OMG, I LOVE this poster. And the picture they chose is perfect - That Cowboy Bush. LOL, this must drive the libbies crazy!

Love seeing these great pictures. Thank you!
What a wonderful gesture! I could cry when I think of how
all of our allies and friends have been treated like crap
by the fake president in our white house.
hehehe.......
Thanks for posting, pattyvita!!! - Wasn’t it WONDERFUL to see!!!???? Ah...does my heart good ;-)
Yes, I remember the Obama-sends-the-Dalai-Lama-through-the-garbage episode. Showed how classy the usurper is.
I also remember well that the Dalai Lama was supposed to hate President Bush and when he was interviewed and said something like, he thought President Bush was cool, the media lefties were stunned.
Good stuff!
Looks like he's having the time of his life with OUR President!
Oh Patty. Thank you so much for sharing this. I recall a few years ago viewing a movie at theater on Dali Lama’s life called Seven Years in Tibet. A different slant n semi biographical but from anothers perspective. Brad Pitt is in it as the childhood and then later friend of DL. It is beautifully done
Great photos! Thank you so much, patty!
He he he indeed....love it! :)
Great, DrDeb! :)
Should I be ashamed of myself? ;*)
Can you imagine how the very sentimental GHWB feels? Wow.
Family members and friends of Sailors aboard the
Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77)
watch as mooring lines are released and the ship departs Naval Station Norfolk on its maiden deployment.
Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Fuel) 2nd Class Andy Nunez,
assigned to the air department of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77),
waves to family and friends on the pier of Naval Station Norfolk as the ship gets underway.
And finally, a very sweet, sobering photo:
Gabriella Madison, 14 months old, walks with her father, Petty Officer 3rd class Kevin Madison on the pier next to the USS George H. W. Bush as the aircraft carrier prepares on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 to deploy from Naval Station Norfolk, Va. on Wednesday.
Godspeed to all our brave sailors--and their families!
God BLESS and PROTECT our troops on the GHWBush carrier!
WOW!!!!
Isn’t wonderful he’s alive to enjoy the honor?
!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed the photos---they are stunning, I quite agree.
Yes, onyx! I am thrilled for him (and his family) to get to experience this great honor. I imagine that he will keep up with their journey—and certainly will keep them all in his prayers. It gave me goosebumps to see the photos—I can only imagine how the Bush family, and especially GHWB felt!
