The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Picture #2 at the link is a teaser..... ;*)
wonderful post.. thank you. What a lady!
;)
It seems SO long ago that he was in the WH doesn't it? So much has happened and changed---and certainly not for the better.
hehe.....
It wasn’t too difficult—especially since the comment was from you. ;) I actually had a similar thought myself, though, when viewing the pictures earlier. :)
I wondered why they didn’t pan the camera a bit left? Did you? :)
I wondered if it seemed a little intrusive to do so. That was the only reason I could think of.
Either that, or the nightstand was just so purdy that the photographer didn't think of it. :)
Laura Bush is on the curvy couch on Fox and Friends right now talking with Steve Doocy, Gretchen Carlson and Brian Kilmeade
She will be on the After the Show Show
Here is the video: Laura Bush on Fox & Friends
Fun! Can’t wait to see the video of that!
Laura talking about the wedding
Rats! I can’t believe that I missed seeing Laura on Fox and Friends this morning. Hubby was watching Law and Order instead. GRRRRRRR!
Thanks for these WONDERFUL screen caps....she looks lovely, as always! I should age so gracefully! :)
Bummer, I missed the live interview; however, I enjoyed the videoclip and all of the photos. Thank you!!
You are very welcome
LUV the article and photos — thanks for finding this gem for us!!
I know they were trying to feature the ‘secret door’; however, like you, I would have much preferred a photo with more of a pan to the left! :)
Gretchen asked Mrs Bush what she thought of Prince William's decision not to wear a wedding band. Mrs Bush said did not care if he wore one or not, and the she added:
"But I'm really glad that George wears a wedding ring."
When Gretchen asked why, Mrs Bush said, "I don't know, I just like that. I mean there's a symbolism to it I think that's sort of sweet."
"When we were getting married I just got the gold band, and when we went out to buy it we didn't buy one for George. Then a few days later he said, 'I think I'll wear one after all.' I like that."
"He was just somebody that never wore rings at all. I'm happy he wears a wedding ring."
