A Month in the life of George W. Bush (News and many Photos) September 2005
georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/news ^ | September 5, 2010

Posted on 09/05/2010 5:29:14 PM PDT by Kaslin

The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bush’s Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

Check out this lengthy interview President Bush gave about his global AIDS initiative and PEPFAR on Dec 21st but was just published last night. Another one of his greatest achievements he did in office but the lamestream media and his harshest critics chose to overlook and ignore!

Also, don’t forget President Bush refused to give President Hu a state dinner, when he visited the White House in 2006 because of China’s human rights violations. 0bama on the other hand gives him the greatest honor

Thanks for that info, Kaslin. I could not remember and didn't have time to look it up.

Have you seen this?

Yeah, those were the good ol' days huh? It's nice to reflect back of what was the beginning of a great leader in the making. And eight months later, on September 11, 2001 when the United States got attacked, President Bush rose to the occasion to track down the evil terrorists and took the fight directly to the enemy.

He showed the American people the ability to lead during a crisis and throughout his 8 years in office, he never, ever gave in to his critics or followed the latest polls even when he faced so opposition against him.

His calm, steady and strong is something I will always miss about him.

If you’re looking for the opportunity to watch a real president in action (vs the ‘O’bomination who will appear on TV tonight), you’re in luck:

CSPAN BOOK TV INTERVIEWED PRESIDENT BUSH YESTERDAY AT SMU. THEY WILL BROADCAST THE INTERVIEW THIS SUNDAY (1/30) AT 8 PM ET.

You will find LOTS of great photos here (on President Bush’s facebook page):
