The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Thanks for the links and news. Always happy to read about our President.
I had read about the Career Builders event, but had not been able to find a photo — THANKS for the post!

Deb, I have just been holding my breath for THAT shoe to
drop. They have blamed everyone else, and I just pray that
no one else is targeted...or hurt....by the lefties that
are totally out of control!!
Actually, ‘Democrats’ (vs extreme Leftists) have finally learned that MOST Americans LIKE George W Bush the man — they understand that he is a person of great faith and character. Democrats have also learned that with the perspective of time (and Obama) most Americans now APPRECIATE George W Bush the president — they understand that he faced unprecedented challenges with courage and resolve. . . Bottome line: An ‘unpopular’ president simply could not sell over 2 million books (in hard back no less) and routinely ‘sell out’ 80 plus speeches and events per year.

Oops, it’s time to watch Auburn crush Oregon! [BTW: I love the fact that TCU won their bowl game — class acts all around!!]
Hope your team wins! I was actually pulling for the Texas Aggies. LOL! My son’s alma mater. :)
George W Bush IS a class act! Pure and simple and the world
is just now opening it’s eyes to that fact. History will be
his friend!
Dick Winters introduced President George W. Bush to a crowd of about 20,000 during a rally in 2004 at Hersheypark Stadium in Derry Township.
A wonderful photograph from an article about WWII hero Major Dick Winters (memorialized in Band of Brothers) who died at the age of 92 yesterday.
He obviously knew who to support in 2004!
Two heroes in one photo — Thanks!
[You haven’t posted for awhile — I hope you had a great Christmas! We really must schedule a lunch so that we can ‘catch up’. Of course, given the nasty weather thus far this winter, we may have to wait until March.]
We can wait for a break in the weather and then get together. It's time! :)
Oops.........forgot to say that I hope you had a great Christmas too!
Lovely picture, Ohio. There is a thread on FR about Maj. Winter’s passing with some very interesting links.
He was an American Hero, though he felt that distinction undeserved. He was considered a great leader by his men, and I’m proud that he thought well enough of our President Bush to introduce him at this event.

I couldn’t get the photo to post but there are photos and video on this website

GWB with singer Mitchell Musso backstage at the SLANT 45 show
Man! I miss him...he would have been the perfect representative
to send to AZ to mourn with the injured and survivors. So
compassionate and kind!
Ohio, thank you for the picture of Maj.Dick Winters with President Bush. Rest in peace, Maj. Winters and thank you for your service to our great country.
Great pictures. It would have been great to see President Bush last night in Tuscon.
Thanks for posting the Slant 45 photos — one of the articles that I read about the event indicated that President Bush received “a rock star welcome” from these kids . . . that’s our POPULAR president!
