The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005

Hi guys. I want to wish you all an early Happy New Year. In the meanwhile, here's some brand-new news on President Bush and his family, who are vacationing in Boca Grande, Florida this week:
Bush family vacation
Bush family visits Boca for the holidays
They came, they played golf, they shopped
and, once again, numerous members of the Bush family came to Boca Grande to enjoy family time.
After arriving at the beginning of the week, the family braved cool temperatures and blustery winds to enjoy some golf, to mingle in town and to take time off from a busy schedule to visit with friends.
Former First Lady Laura Bush and her daughters were seen in several shops and out and about the town.
Pastor Gary Beatty said it lightened his mood a little (in light of the damaged Nativity scene at his church) to see Mrs. Bush.
We turned the corner by the Inn and there she was
we could have reached out and touched her, he said proudly.
Some of the family members stayed at the Gasparilla Inn & Club and its surrounding cottages, while others stayed at private residences on the island.
President Bush, John Boehner, and Jeb Bush this week in Florida. Three good decent men indeed!

I just got one for my birthday! I put a bug in my grown kids’ ears, and one of them got one for me!
P.S. I also got Sarah’s new book too; so far, both look like good reads! :^)

Awesome! Thanks, patty. I know Boca Grande well, a little spot of heaven on Gasparilla Island, amongst many little coves and islands in that area. They sure got a taste of FL in a really big cold snap .. LOL. Interesting that Boehner joined them ...... hmmmm ..
Best Wishes to all the Wonderful Dosers .. God bless America!

Happy New Year everyone. I hope it's the best year ever for you and yours. :)
To close 2010 on a bright note, former President George W. Bush's memoir, Decision Points, remains the #1 nonfiction book in the nation for the 7th consecutive week. It is #1 on The New York Times Bestseller List. Amazon.com only has one combined top 100 list. It doesn't have a breakout by type of book. GWB's book remains #2 on Amazon, and has been in the top 3 there for 123 consecutive days.
For fans of Sarah Palin, her book has rebounded to #8 this week on the NYT list.

I spent time today reading my pings and felt sad. Where the heck is snugs, I worry about her. Please give me an update on her she is missing from the Sunday Morning Talk Show where she used to post pictures of her meals for her Dad.
Have been out of FReeRepubic from traveling and family, and don’t post a lot anyway but do read and realize that I miss the Daily Dose ( it is getting scary on
the outside). I will remember to come here for sanity.
Thank you all for still being here together!
May we all please have relief and changes in 2011 for the positive!
