McCain embraces the GOP's right (McCain, Graham want to lead Tea Party)

Has John McCain "sold his soul" to win re-election?

It's a question that briefly flustered the self-ascribed maverick and 2008 presidential nominee when asked Sunday morning by Chris Wallace of Fox News - but it's also an accusation McCain, who defended having changed his position on several issues, is not alone in having to answer.

(snip)

McCain, along with South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham, called Sunday for a new "Contract with America," Newt Gingrich's political blueprint that helped give Congress back to the GOP in 1994.

But both senators - who once made their marks in Congress by seeking middle ground on hot-button policy issues like immigration and energy - seem to have shifted further to the right to make their case. McCain, who's seeking a fifth term in November, recently beat back a primary challenge from the right from former Rep. J.D. Hayworth.

I quite agree..and I never said shoot him or dismiss him. I wouldn't vote for him as I think he is best suited to be the educator that he is. He has done more than a lot of people have to get to the bottom of the notorious whose who list on 0bama’s gang of thugs..and he is educating those who will listen to the harm intended for the Constitution and I see nothing wrong with him urging people to pray for our nation, to understand what ever faith you practice, not just be a robot within it but to know it be you Christian or Jew..
In his way he is a voice in the wilderness.
Just as, I might add, is Bridgette Gabriel, Whalid Shobat and others who are trying to educate this nation about what Islam and Shariah law really is..but who is listening? And who will be the first to be shocked when some poor girl or woman is stoned to death in some town..there have already been honor killings..it is all a matter of time if we don't wake up.

Yikes! I was going to offer to bring dessert until I saw what happened to your last two visitors.

Guess I'll just stay here and eat my strawberry shortcake alone...

Seriously, let's correct the title thread:

McCain embraces the GOP's right (McCain, Graham and co-idiots want to lead SQUASH Tea Party)

Opps!

Sorry for that mistake!

My father was Army Air Corps and then Air Force. Same as two uncles and a brother.

Only 3 of us saw fit to wear the Eagle, Globe and Anchor. Cousin is over in Afghanistan right now. He went back in after being out for a year after 3 tours in the “sandbox”. Didn’t want “his guys” to go without him.

Amen. But in the end free men don't need "Leaders". Only sheep do.

Without McCain there would be no Obama. Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Pat Leahy sponsored Senate Res 511 to cover up McCain's ineligibility after the Senate balked signing Obama election committee and Senator Clair McCaskill’s blatant lie SB 2678

“To clarify the law and ensure that children born to United States citizens while serving overseas in the military are eligible to become President.”

McCaskill’s bill is a lie because it pretends to amend the Constitution with “shall” and “defines”. No law can amend the Constitution and she knew it. That is what amendments are for.

The Leahy subterfuge, which Obama signed, said:

“Because he was born to American citizens, there is no doubt in my mind that Senator McCain is a natural born citizen,” said Leahy. “I expect that this will be a unanimous resolution of the Senate.”

The trick with SR 511 is that of course McCain was born to American citizens, but Obama wasn't, and no one except Nathan Deal let out a whisper (and Georgia Congressman Deal suddenly faced ethics charges). McCain's problem was 'jus soli' - he was not born on sovereign territory.

McCain should be prosecuted for soliciting campaign funds when he knew he was ineligible. His scheme had the effect of silencing any Republican questions about Obama’s patent ineligibility - if there is a Republican who might have put the Constitution ahead of his or her political ambitions.

I am active in the TEA Party and neither one of those two ass hats are leading us anywhere. They are just a couple of roosters wanting to take credit for the sun rising.

Two assholes who were instumental in the Tea Party movement to begin with, as wearing the faux “Republican” next to their names, while being PLANTS for the Democrat Party.

His BBQ’s always look and sound good. He brags to entice us, ya know, although I did ask him what he was cooking tonight.
