Governor Brewer Endorses Kelly
Jesse Kelly ^ | 09/03/2010 | Press Release

Posted on 09/05/2010 1:18:04 PM PDT by Republican Wildcat

Tucson, AZ - Jesse Kelly is excited to announce that Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has endorsed him against Congressional District 8 incumbent Gabrielle Giffords.

Governor Brewer stated the following about Jesse, “There is no question that Jesse Kelly is the best candidate - a dynamic leader with business and military experience who will stand up to President Obama and fight for Arizonans in Washington.”

When Jesse Kelly is in Congress, he will join Governor Brewer in supporting SB 1070 over the opposition of President Obama and Gabrielle Giffords. Kelly stated, “Governor Brewer has led the fight to defend the citizens of Arizona. I will stand with her and insist that the federal government finally secures the border and protects Arizona from the crime and violence related to drug and human smuggling.”

Jesse Kelly is the Republican nominee for Arizona’s Eighth Congressional District in the southeastern region of the state. For more information on the Jesse Kelly campaign, visit VoteJesseKelly.com or send an e-mail to media@jessekellyforcongress.com.

This was from the latest poll for Kelly v. Giffords

13. Do you think Gabrielle Giffords deserves reelection as congresswoman, or do you think it is time to give someone else a chance?

DESERVES REELECTION .............................................. 44%

TIME FOR SOMEONE ELSE........................................... 50%

DON’T KNOW/NO OPINION............................................ 6%

Hard to ovecome 50% who don't like you.

Normally your comment would be valid, but Brewer's support for McCain was pivotal in his retention, along with Palin.

I can understand Palin supporting him. But Jan really could have kept her distance. She was just being a team player. Didn't need to, it's unusual in Arizona for the Governor to be involved in Senatorial campaigns.

So maybe she's doing a little damage control here. Jesse is sort of the anti-McShame: a combat veteran who isn't a self serving traitor.

Jesse is the future. McCain, and his generation, is the past.

Jan's just shoring up her support for the American kids who want a country to live in.

I live in California, but I really like this guy and have been contributing to his campaign. Gov. Brewer seems very popular in Arizona, so this is a great thing and I wish him all the best.

Good points. I stand corrected. Thanks.

And being a team player wouldn't require you to endorse the incumbent in a primary anyway. Primaries are for party members to decide who they want the nominee to be. Not saying anything or endorsing a challenger wouldn't make a person "not a team player".

You're right, and I suspect it was Mad Johnny who pressured her to endorse him.

Pretty disgusting that he needs to hide behind Palin and Brewer's skirts to get re-nominated.

Recall that Brewer led the Arizona delegation at the convention and cast the nominating vote for McCain. She's been a good girl all along, no one should mistake her for the average Tea Party rebel. Russ Pearce is the real drive behind the anti-Reconquista laws in Arizona.

Having said that, she's put her heart and soul into making it happen, which gets her oodles of support from me.

Someday McCain will simply slip on a banana peel. Until then, seems like the Establishment demands that everyone protect his worthless butt.

He's a good man. Everything he sponsors is good, as far as I've ever seen. He also sponsored the Constitutional Carry bill this year, I believe, or maybe it was the Firearms Freedom Act. Both?

If Kelley wins the CD8th race againsr Giffords, does that put him on a list for at least consideration for the Senate in 6 years?

My adoptive home is Sierra Vista but it is hard for me to keep up with the local issues living here in North Florida.
