Conservative superstar Sarah Palin opened the door yesterday to joining forces with Mitt Romney for a 2012 White House run - a hot ticket that has some Republicans licking their chops at the prospect of unseating President Obama.

“Sounds pretty good,” Palin declared at yesterday’s Tea Party Express rally on the Common when asked about pairing up with the former Bay State governor - giving the idea a big thumbs-up as she left the stage after her headline speech.

All the Palinistas must be going ballistic, because their girl suddenly endorsed the Mittster

Not really very sudden since this occurred last April
Some of the loud shrieks of horror though reminds one of how more 'enlightened' conservatives reacted to Reagan/Schweiker and Reagan/Bush.
So even if Palin's incidental quip would come to be I wouldn't fret over how she'd govern if POTUS.

Exhibit #12, your honor, demonstrating that these folks, who call themselves, are in fact, cultists.

For you to accuse someone else of being a political cultist is absolutely hilarious. YOU are the one who couldn't lick the boots of one Duncan Hunter clean enough. If he got 2 votes it's only because you figured out a way to vote twice. YOU were the one touting a candidate who had absolutely NO chance of finishing anything other than dead last. And now you call someone else a "cultist"? LOL You are really a pantload, pissant. No, YOU are the cultist. Now you are just an anti-Palin cultist to the extent you were told to KNOCK IT OFF by the owner of this site. YOU are the anti-Palin cultist who dedicated your lift to posting every stupid little anti-Palin piece you could find along with disgusting photo-shopped pictures of Sarah Palin.

Yes, I have said Palin WILL win the 2012 election and I stand by that. That is how confident I am. I have done my research. I know my politics. Based upon my experience and knowledge there is no doubt Sarah Palin will run. She's left enough bread crumbs for even you to figure it out if your ability to read, comprehend, and form logical conclusions weren't so impaired. And if she does run, there is no GOP candidate that will be able to stop her. You are filled with too much hatred to believe or accept it, but she is the darling of the GOP right/Tea Party and they will drive the nomination. You think she's a hot commidity now? Wait until she's running a Presidential campaign HER style. She will CRUISE to the nomination. Then, in the general election, even moderates will give her enough consideration to put her over the top. They will be so sick of Obama they might even vote for Duncan Hunter over him! LOL

So sorry Pissant. I'm not a "cultist". You are. I am a realist. I can see the writing on the wall. Too bad you can't even see the wall even while your nose is pressed up against it.

Palin wants to run and Romney wants to run.

Mitt has the money and Palin doesn’t.

Mitt Romney is even more of a slimy liar than a John Kerry or a John Edwards. In order to further his massive ambition Mitt has tried to be all things to all people. To win in a liberal state he was pro government health care, pro- abort, pro-gay, anti-gun, etc. To win nationally he has flipped on those and other important issues. I’m not sure who the real Mitt is.

and Palin doesn’t.

That's because McCain spent it all to defeat J.D. Hayworth!

Palin WILL be the next GOP Presidential nominee and WILL win the 2012 election.

It will take more than wishful thinking for Palin to win. Winning the nomination might not be the shoo-in that some of her supporters think it is. And in order to with the general election, she will have to capture the swing vote.

It will take more than wishful thinking for Palin to win.

Gee, do you really think so? Here's a newsflash for the Palin haters - it will take more than wishful thinking to prevent Palin from winning.

Winning the nomination might not be the shoo-in that some of her supporters think it is.

Another mesmerizing statement of clarity. On the other hand...winning the nomination might be the shoo-in that some of her supporters think it is.

And in order to with the general election, she will have to capture the swing vote.

You don't say! LOL

Wow, with such incredible insights, you must do this for a living, huh?

Palin would be very Coolidge like, namely governing better than she runs. I don’t think she can win on her own-—too much hatred from the drive-bys, and she has a certain natural alienation from younger people (at least, judging from the reactions of my college students). Even the conservative ones favor Romney more than her. But if somehow she got in, I think she’d be a terrific president.

Regarding the media, younger voters, and the Republican Party local, state, national bosses opinion of Palin.
How would you compare this to how the aforementioned felt about Reagan before he became POTUS?

I distinctly remember the Reagan election and he inspired a GREAT deal of support from younger voters. Actually, Nixon had large-scale support from "yuts" (because he favored lowering the voting age to 18). The media? No, they have been horribly hostile since 1972, and the GOP bosses did not like Reagan.

That said, Palin should inspire more support among some groups that she does not. Conservative college kids (check C-PAC, for example) heavily favor Mitt. When I go out to speak to Heritage or Young America's groups, for example, you can clearly see that they like Romney a lot, and that while they agree with Palin down the line on ISSUES, they just don't connect to her. I can't explain it, but it's silly to deny it. Her largest fan base is 40-60 year old women. When she was McCain's VP candidate, our county headquarters sold out of Palin t-shirts. They were always 40-60 year old women who bought them.

Interesting. Thanks, LS
Though I'd not agree that young voters liked RR, at least pre-1980. (I was surprised though to read how your students reacted towards Palin. Especially since you're at a Catholic univ.) I am seeing, within my own wee realm, a lot of folks telling me about things they've learned about Palin and confessing that they had "never known that about her".

“and Palin doesn’t.

Palin not having any real money has nothing to do with H.D. Hayworth. My point was Romeny has the money and Palin doesn’t.

LS: "All the Palinistas must be going ballistic,

Hardly. The capuchin monkey patrol of Romney
has already been caught lying about endorsements, over and over.

Just like their fake badges, fake polls, and endless backstabbing.

Palin not having any real money has nothing to do with H.D. Hayworth.

She could have asked McCain to give her some of the funds from their combined 2008 election accounts. But, alas, she did nothing as McCain transferred millions to his 2010 campaign against J.D. Hayworth.

No, back in Apr Mrs Palin did say this. Does it mean she agrees with Romney on all issues? No. Just as Reagan certainly didn't see eye to eye with Geo. H.W. Bush.

Wee Rabscuttle is just trying to generate anti-Palin sentiment.

To no avail.

No she did not endorse Romney.
Furthermore, he attacked her handicapped child
through his surrogates.

This is a case of Romney delusion, like the previous
fake endorsements, fake badges, fake walk with MLK, and fake claims.

You are correct about DU's Rabscuttle, though.

I didn’t attack anyone...just asked a simple question. So...your answer is yes? IF it is Romney/Palin, they’d get your vote?

....”misogynistic world view.”

I wouldn’t know first hand. I’m female, not male.

Given the attacks by Team Romney against Gov.Palin
made FOR OBAMA/Romney, there are two impliciations.

First, no one in the GOP, certainly Gov. Palin, should
ever truth Willard.
Second, why doesn't Mitt just run on the DNC ticket
with Obama?

Obama/Romney 2012

(ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE) (Carpetbagger/Shapeshifting Ticket)

"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported:
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Poor sport spoiler Romney doing what he does best:

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."
