AIKEN -- The Aiken County Republican Party has approved a formal censure of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
The party's executive committee took the action Thursday, joining a handful of other county parties, including Greenville's GOP.
Committee member Pete Seaha, who also is the Aiken County Tea Party chairman, wrote the resolution and introduced it at the meeting. The resolution states in part that Graham won't be invited to any party meetings or events.
"I don't believe the senator is sticking to conservative Republican principles," said Seaha. "In my mind, the senator has disrespected his constituents. He has said publicly on a talk show that he didn't care what they thought."
Seaha said it was his understanding that 18 people on the executive committee supported the resolution, while two opposed it and two abstained.

fyi
shame Graham was not up for re-election this year and not in 2008, we’d have tea-partied his ass into oblivion.
Whoever it was that sat in for Mike Church on Friday was the guy who interviewed Goober. He mentioned the interview and I beleive he ran some of the audio clips.
Does anyone know or remember who this guest host is?
His vote for Kagan sealed the deal as far as I’m concerned.
Pelosi is Speaker until January when the new Congress is seated. There will be a vote and if Dems are the minority she loses and most likely Rs will chose Boener.
His relentless push for amnesty did it for me.
I’m sorry but your friend is an idiot or worse. The Speaker is elected by the members of the current Congress. Come January, the 112th Congress will commence with one of the first actions to elect the Speaker of the House. Alternatively the same will commence for the Senate Majority Leader.
If the Republicans gain control of the majority in the House, which is highly prognosticated, what Republican in their right mind would vote for Nanzi Pelousy?
some very solid folks in SC...
I hope they will rally the entire state to throw that jackass out of office.
Does SC law have a recall provision?? They could dump this leftist curse that way.
Let's hope they don't!
I debate this guy all the time and work him into a corner from which there is no escape and he ends the debate with: That may be, but I don't believe it. Then, he walks away. Frustrating...
Then open the rules of the Congress and place it on his desk. I always try to go into a battle of whits with undeniable facts. They still go away frustrated but that plants the seed of doubt to their view that will eventually grow. But then again, one has to turn on the switch for the light to glow.
Michele Bachmann would be a good choice, no?
