Give it time.
As much as I think Beck is whacked in some respects, he’s certainly correct in this regard. If a nation is founded on the concept of recognizing the inalienable rights given to man by the “creator,” then you HAVE to accredit the creator to remain a nation. You must uphold a “standard.”
For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
Ephesians 6:12-13
I'm not sure I understand why this thought even comes to the mind of anyone. In the absolute sense, it's impossible for a country or a system of government to be a theocracy - a system in which God (and His laws) are supreme. The nature of man is far too rebellious to endure such a thing in this age.
And don't tell me that Iran is a theocracy - it's not. It's simply a set of man-made rules imposed upon the population by imperfect (in fact, evil) men - making it a dictatorship & totalitarian in nature.
