Joe McGinniss, the best-selling author who moved in next door to Sarah Palin to get the scoop for a book he is writing about her, is packing it in after three-and-a-half months in Wasilla. McGinniss said he's leaving his rental home on Sunday, satisfied that he didn't have unpleasant encounters with anyone in Wasllla, except perhaps Sarah Palin's husband, Todd. He said the locals were for the most part willing to talk about their former governor and mayor, and offered him small gifts, ranging from blueberry pies to handguns, the Associated Press reported Saturday.

I’m certain that any vile, ugly email he received can be traced to leftists.

I think he is just making it up in order to drum up controversy to sell more books.

If I recall correctly, this hack hasn't had a best seller in decades. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. All of these wild claims that he's making are pure bunk.

In your lifetimes, how many strangers have walked up to you and offered to loan you a handgun? Conversely, how many times have you walked up to a stranger and offered to loan them a handgun?

Is there ANYBODY HERE who has ever done this or had this happen to them? The only exception I can possibly think of would be someone who was in a battle, and a fellow soldier loaned them a spare weapon. Maybe a police officer being loaned a firearm by another police officer.

The ONLY time in my life that I have ever "borrowed" another firearm was when I was at the gun range trying out someone else's firearm with them present. That's not really "borrowing".

I've only heard this once from Dr. Gina Loudon the same gal who busted Michael J. Gross for his lies in Vanity Fair.
