McCain takes aim at immigration, health care (McCain senile, thinks he is Tea Party leader)

BULLHEAD CITY — Repealing the new federal health care law and securing the border were the two issues that drew thunderous applause Thursday morning, when Arizona Sen. John McCain promised to do both if he’s re-elected to a fifth term in November.

McCain appeared at a hastily arranged town hall meeting, attracting a crowd estimated at over 100, filling the Firehouse Coffee Company and spilling out onto the sidewalk at Riverview Mall.

Giving a short talk and answering questions for almost an hour, McCain had some sharp criticism for President Barack Obama, whom he faced in the 2008 presidential election. “The next time the president goes to help out Harry Reid across the river here or maybe goes to help Barbara Boxer, maybe he might — for the first time in his life — come and see our border,” McCain said. “You’d think that maybe the president of the United States would spare the time from playing golf or Martha’s Vineyard.” Both Reid, D-Nev., and Boxer, D-Calif., are running for re-election this year.

McCain drew more applause when he said, instead of suing Arizona over SB 1070, the federal government should be suing sanctuary cities.

(snip)

McCain at least twice referred to the November election as being revolutionary in nature. He said, “Do not lose heart. Do not give up.” He urged those in attendance to contact all their friends to get involved and vote.

Yes, he will go “Maverick” and vote with the Democrats at the drop of a hat.

McCain, like many Republicans, will submit to special interest pressures (both corporate and social) when its in their best interest. Voters don’t discipline McCain and Graham, so they never learn.

(McCain senile, thinks he is Tea Party leader)

LOL! Exellent observation, spot on.

For the next 3 months, “transmit-only” Juan McCain will be on a search mission to hurry and find find “his people” - so he can lead them.

I could attract that many -- in Walmart -- just by hollering "This is free!!!!"

McCain is the "leader" of the tea party movement.

He was anointed as such by Sarah Palin.

The options on this ticket besides the R and D are a Green Party candidate and a Libertarian, David Nolan, who is more open border than McCain.

Write in Hayworth. He is better than McCain because McCain has proved that he is a flip flopper for political gain only which demonstrates a lack of character. And character matters according to McCain’s 20 million dollar campaign biltz.

Hayworth would have to register as a write-in candidate for it to mean anything. They don’t have a blind write-in process like a lot of States. Write-in candidates are officially qualified and registered.

Here is a good example of what’s wrong with McCain:

John McCain is a moderate. He’s more concerned with being politically expedient than right. For too many years he’s enjoyed being the “wild card” that has the rest of the country wondering what side of the issue he’s going to land on next. He’s forgotten how to make a rational decision based on fact and principle and has gotten used to Republicans and Democrats courting him in an effort to gain his favor. He’s fallen in such deep love with himself and craves the attention that the media pays to him at each and every political crossroad. He has lived his entire political life doing giant splits (that any gymnast would envy) all the way down the political aisle with one foot planted on the Right side and the other foot planted on the Left side. This is undoubtedly the main reason he had to continue to tout ad-nauseum his war hero status during the campaign. The public had to be reminded that at one point in his life he did have an actual conviction.

Tilting at windmills. McCain is mostly RINO but still better than any dem. The thing is, if you get enough true conservatives in the House and Senate, then they can pull the RINOs, who tend to go with the political winds, to the right. Just the opposite happened with the current congress with healthcare. There were probably 50 or so moderat dem house members who would not have voted for Obama care as it was enacted, if they could vote as they wished. But they were caught into the political tide and pulled into voting for it.

Well let’s have a conservative maelstrom elected in NO-vember so RINOs like McCain get pulled in by the conservative tide.

No one is doubting there is a problem with McCain, the problem is unless someone registers as a write-in, there isn’t a viable candidate in this race.

In this race? Who thought there was a race? McCain is the fore-gone conclusion, but that doesn’t mean I can’t bitch about him.

I keep envisioning a picture with Lucy (McCain) holding a football, and Charlie Brown (the voters) racing to kick it.

Silly Republicans...

Don’t plan on McCain going to the right. He is capable of living and voting with logic tight compartments in that uneducated mind.

Don’t forget that “my friend”.
