You read that right. Gang members in the most violent city in the nation criticized the police for being ineffective in combating...gang violence.

You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried.

“They also said that Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis’ meeting with so-called gang leaders was a waste of time.”
If the Chicago PD really wanted to arrange a meeting that would have actually done something about gang violence, maybe they should have googled “Al Capone” and “St. Valentine’s Day” first.
I’m just sayin’...

But when asked what could be done right now to stop the daily barrage of bullets on Chicago streets, they didn't have an answer. You dont deserve to be heard in your criticisms until you have a realistic alternative to offer.

The gang culture has been glorified by music, TV, movies and the universal truth that “white” people are just not cool.
Not all poor people turn to crime.
Yeah, yeah I know its all “our” fault.
Driving me crazy.

Should call in a Panzer Divison and clean up that third world craphole.
And many thanks for media for showing gang members as swell people when all they are are savages and thugs.

At a news conference organized by self-identified gang members Thursday morning, several speakers complained that police and city officials do not respect them, and that the only way to curb violence is to provide jobs and improve their community.
For gangbangers, respect and fear are synonymous. If police and city officials feared them more it would make the life of a gangbanger much easier.
I have no doubt theyd want more paying jobs in their community, it would provide more money for extortion, prostitution, drugs

Lets see ............. now we're negotiating with gang-bangers? Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this picture? Negotiating with known criminals instead of breaking up those criminal gangs and putting them in the slammer?
Now we know why Chicago and other cities are in big trouble.

Maybe they are already being paid by the SEIU for "voter registration and turn out".
