Durham, N.C. — Gina Marie Watring, who taught at Durham's Creekside Elementary School, pleaded guilty Thursday to having sex with a 10-year-old student.
She was sentenced to up to six and a half years in jail, following by three years probation.
Watring, of 106 Cricket Ground, was arrested in April 2009 on charges including first-degree kidnapping, felony child abduction, rape of a child by an adult offender, sex offense with a student and indecent liberties with a child.
The boy told investigators the couple had intercourse twice at her home, according to court documents. School officials also discovered sexually charged text messages between the two.

This is despicable and I don’t think jesting about it is in good taste either. “Every ten year old’s dream” ???? Most ten year old boys dream about meeting their favorite athlete.

Honestly, I just don’t get it. I don’t understand this phenomenon of female teachers and young boy students. Did this used to happen and we just didn’t know about it? What is the sickness here in these women? Lack of control? Women pedophilia (supposedly rare)? Lack of shame? Permissive society finally influencing females who are supposed to be nurturers to become pervs? Somebody help me understand this.

And what if the boy was six? Would we happy for him for “getting some” before any of his classmates? Or what if it was a 10 year old girl? Or a male teacher having “willing” sex with the 10 year old boy? I’m sure the tone on this board would be “cruxify him.” The point is that there is an age of consent. This is a 10 year old. The next time you see a 10 year old playing in your neighborhood, imagine this monster trying to have sex with him. It won’t be so funny.
