Washington - The makeover of the Oval Office has been widely panned in press reports and on the blogosphere for being too casual and for its bland color palate but White House press secretary Robert Gibbs doesn't expect President Obama to weigh in anytime soon. (Snip) In an apparent effort to head off criticism, the White House pointed out that all of the materials and furniture came from U.S.-based companies, and that taxpayers won't foot the bill. These kinds of projects have always been funded by the White House Historical Association, with money from the Presidential Inaugural Committee.

and a bull and matador on red velvet
I’ve got a lot more problems with what’s going on in the Oval Office than the decorating scheme.
There should be some camels, maybe in the parking lot
The new drapes make me want to gag. The ones I put in a photochop look better than the ones they ended up with.
That was Kaki Hockersmith, a high priced Little Rock decorator friend of the Clintons. Looked like she decorated the WH out of Wal Mart's sale shelves. Kaki's red room was so embarrassing, you cannot find a sample on the net.
Bill loved it b/c she basically made the place look like what he was using it for----a bordello.
THIS WAS THE WH RELEASE Among the donations to the National Park Service was $74,607 contributed by the Clinton/Gore Transition Foundation in payments to Kaki Hockersmith of Little Rock, Arkansas, for her services as the design consultant for the White House restoration project. (The Transition Foundation is privately funded.) Ms. Hockersmith devoted a significant amount of personal time to the project, essentially closing her small business and dedicating nearly an entire year to the White House refurbishment.
Ms. Hockersmith also donated draperies of her design which now hang in the Lincoln Sitting Room. (Lists of those who contributed to the White House Historical Association and the National Park Service are attached. A list of members of the White House Historical Association is also attached.)

The overseas trips, the wardrobe, the Oval makeover.....a prelude to Michele transforming herself into a black Jackie (before Mrs O bombed in Spain).
JACKIE'S WH BEDROOM. Her TV tour of the WH cemented Jackie's elegant image among Americans.

Now instead of a TV tour of the WH, Michele is concentrating on showcasing American Dance.
Is the presidential seal in Islamic green?
Yo, back yo ass UP Jamaal! That crib is pimpolicious!
Dancing with the Czars
Haha! Well done. You’re so amazing.
I don’t think it’s ugly but it is casual. Shabby Chic goes to Washington was my first impression.
And the papered-over doors are kind of funny.
ok, those couches wont be there long. Anybody over 60 that sits down on one will disappear into the cushion and cant get up without help, it’s going to be embarrassing for them
Too bad. Won't win the mirrored ball. Even with
the star-power of his lovely, accomplished partner.
LOL! I was thinking something similar about petite women. They’ll be like Lily Tomlin’s Edith Ann on those couches.
I don’t care. It looks fine. These are the trendy colors.
The 70’s color scheme is in a revival.
Looks like Leon Phelps place
they look to me like somebody wants to lay down and.... sleep a lot? whatever
