He is eternal, God was not created. Once can't explain existance with out assuming an eternal as an axiom. Thus, either the universe is eternal and had no beginning (Hoyle's "steady state" theory) or there is an eternal God which created the universe. Science currently points to a universe which had a beginning. If one assumes time is a componant of the universe then logic dictates it must have had a beginning. That leaves only God. Which is eactly what first four words of the Bible tell us.

But if you can’t do that, consider Paul Davies’ explanation of two planes of existence, the natural and supernatural. If you don’t accept that, then we don’t have anything to talk about....
