Any Michigan man will tell you, there is nothing quite like beating Ohio State. Every Buckeye agrees, a win over that team from up North is priority No. 1.

What would Woody and Bo have thought of that? A rematch!

The Big Ten announced its divisional breakdown for football Wednesday night, and Ohio State and Michigan will be in different six-team divisions when the league expands to 12 members in 2011.

Neither division has been named, but they break down like this: Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota and Northwestern in one; Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois, Purdue and Indiana in the other.

GLad to see they kept the big one at the end of the season where it belongs. There were rumors that it might become a mid-season contest.

This alignment benefits the michigan/OSU rivalry, plain and simple. They get to keep their precious game, and potentially play for the conference title.

Crossing my fingers Nebraska, MSU and Iowa have something to say about that.

I frickin HATE UofM.

And the Big 12 will only have 10 teams.

Up is down, down is up Big 10 has twelve and Big 12 has 10.

Go figure.

I always knew I liked you. Now I know why! :)

Ann Arbor is only about 90 minutes from my house, and it's easy to find: North 'til you smell it, west 'til you step in it.

Has anyone heard...Is Michigan planning to get together a team this year? Maybe put up some posters around campus, see if there is any interest...

And even he knew that the SEC is the place to be.

There is a very good chance the Big One may be pushed back into the regular season. The Big Ten(11, 12, whatever) has a quandary: Not to have the annual Big Game would be a deal breaker for what are often its two best teams. But no one wants to see an OSU-UM game replayed a mere week or two later. Everyone wants the schedule to allow for a reasonable gap between the two possible tilts.

It really is the only way.
