Eco-Author Baffled by a Violent Fan [Quinn Selected $500,000 Ted Turner Tomorrow Fellowship]
Cosmic Log ^ | 09/01/10 | Alan Boyle

The "Ishmael" books are aimed at encouraging radical social change — but their author says hostage-taking is definitely not the change he had in mind.

Daniel Quinn's story of Ishmael, a telepathic gorilla who tries to show humans where they're going wrong, has spawned a popular series of books, an eerie Hollywood movie and a movement that takes a critical look at our global industrial society.

These people oscillate between intervals of telling everyone else how to live because they are so brilliant, and intervals of bafflement.

Algore and this author should be held responsible for the actions of this leftist nutcase who was inspired by their work. Is this not what they say about Rush, Glenn Beck, Levin, Hannity, etc?

Quinn is a half-hack, hypocritical, wanna-be philosopher.

"Tribal humans were successful on this planet for three million years before our agricultural revolution, and they're no less successful today wherever they manage to survive untouched, but many people in our culture don't want to hear about it," he says in the book.

If you define success as constant misery and a lifespan of 30 years, he's right. He probably thinks Logan's Run depicted perfection.

The MSNBC-Cosmic Log story above rates [Amazon] the book pictured: My Ishmael on Amazon TODAY at No. 389...

I found Quinn's Ishmael: An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit at rated #227

But find the rating of My Ishmael by Quinn at Amazon Bestsellers Rank: #8,749 in Books ...This is said to be the weakest of Quinn's novels via Amazon.

I was curious in the My Ishmael sales since the hostage case to see if it affected the book sales.

Am I missing something?

LOL! He's really wanting to be this gorilla, it's not much of a stretch though, I consider him to be an orangutan's ass right now.

POST FROM ONE OF THE LEFTISTS THAT THOUGHT THAT A CONSERVATIVE PULLED THE DISCOVERY STUNT:

*”the religionists of America and the gun rights folks of America foment these types of horrific with their bull pucky. I really hope this resolves without injury, but why would ANY one attack a channel that broadcasts educational materials, intended to make us all wiser and more understanding? The only suspects I can think of are fundies who don't like a real education.”*

To the mindless public school brainwashed atheist zombie:

This is what you get when people are taught Al Gore's lies with a straight face.

When we are taught that we are merely animals, some of us act like animals. This Leftist cretin is an example of what the Left would REALLY like to do.

*Algore and this author should be held responsible for the actions of this leftist nutcase who was inspired by their work.*

If people really do listen to this garbage millions will die because of global warming laws. Not to mention inestimable human misery by diminishing people's lives needlessly.

Gore already has a lot of blood on his hands.
