I just heard a report on this on ABC radio. According to it this wacko had long standing issues with Discovery’s programming. Not one word about his environmental beliefs. Not one.
That’s because he’s got the same beliefs as one of their golden boys, Al Gore — possibly minus the carbon credits scam.
Sounds like an eco-terrorist to me. Why the beef with The Discovery Channel though?
Reports are that he was concerned about overpopulation. Also at today’s press briefing the police said he had two starter pistols. Nonlethal? They are being rather noncommital about the nature and strength of the “explosives”. I have talked with people who knew him and they think he could have been talked down. Who knows, a sad business all around. So many people scared out of their wits. And this guy dead, possibly unnecessarily.
