Exclusive: Meghan McCain Writes that Palin Brought 'Drama, Stress... Panic' to Campaign
Sen. John McCain's Daughter: Sarah Palin's Rise Was 'Too Fast,' 'Too Easy'

For the first time since the end of her father's 2008 presidential bid, Sen. John McCain's daughter Meghan McCain spoke out about Sarah Palin, writing in a new book that Palin brought "drama, stress, complications, panic and loads of uncertainty" to the losing campaign.
Though she writes that during the campaign she wondered if the loss "was Sarah Palin's fault," McCain told "Good Morning America" today in an exclusive interview that Palin was not the reason the campaign failed.
"I do clearly state at the end that we did not lose because of her and I'm speaking out now because I do have conflicting feelings about her," McCain told "GMA's" George Stephanopoulos. "She brought so much momentum and enthusiasm to the campaign."

Before Palin came on board, McCain said she knew drama was brewing.
"I had learned a few things on the campaign already, and knew that change always brought complications and chaos and sometimes a little entertainment. Drama was inevitable on a campaign and created almost out of thin air. Tempers were always flying, and feelings were always being hurt. There was no question that a running mate would add to the confusion and upset. There would be less time for fun," she writes. "But I couldn't have predicted just how serious it was going to get."
McCain admitted that during the campaign she stumbled when asked whether she had doubts about Palin's presence on the ticket and in the book said that Joe Lieberman was her favorite pick.

Without Palin, McCain would have really got thumped. I know life long voting republicans who were staying home or voting third party until Palin’s speech at the convention.

You miss my point. The best boss I ever had used a phrase for just such occasions as the 2008 McCain candidacy (redux of the 1996 Dole/Kemp "let's run an old guy because he's got seniority!" strategy):

Enemies disguise as friends are still enemies. I am sure you will once again witness the deconstruction of the "Conservative McCain" after the election, maybe even before. He is a traitor to the country pure and simple, I voted for the team because McCain was old.

Judging their blatant efforts at losing the election, those running the McCain campaign had to be dem plants. I’ll never believe they had that many bumbling missteps.
The reason they were in a panic is because Sarah realized the enemy was within the camp — and they knew she knew. Sarah almost single-handedly won it for them anyway.
Nutmeg McCain is incapable of stringing two intelligible sentences together on TV, so we know she didn't write this book herself let alone do any thoughtful analyzing of Sara vis a vis the campaign. She obviously did the easy-writing parts that are sheer venom, hate and jealousy.
Nutmeg's comments (actually the cowardly McCain's viewpoints) are not even criticism per se about the campaign. They are the no-longer-suppressed barbs of venom spewed because both father and daughter are poisonous ultra-liberal RINORATS despite the fact that the deceitful, lying McCain ran to the right of JD Hayworth in this past primary.
So many easily-fooled Arizona voters proved themselves abysmally stupid in supporting this disfunctional Addams family that it's a wonder Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer can depend upon them for backing in her courageous fight against Obama and his gestapo Justice Dept.
