Looks like Hatch is making it official he’s not running for re-election next time.
Orrin needs to take a break from his role as Islam’s useful idiot in the Senate and ponder the words of Robert Jackson, chief United States prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials and Associate Justice of the Supreme Court:
“There is danger that, if the court does not temper its doctrinaire logic with a little practical wisdom, it will convert the constitutional Bill of Rights into a suicide pact.”
It is also my understanding that this site is about 600 yards from Ground Zero, not several blocks away. Didn't I read or hear there is already a mosque 2 city blocks away?

At one time, back in the 1980s, Hatch was actually a real conservative. But being in Washington that long transforms people for the worst. Always for the worst.
Orin Hatch is a corrupt old whore. He has been double dealing in Washington for decades. An Amendment passed in to law bearing his name required educators to inform parents of everything their children were being taught in public schools.
This was the result of the behavior modification being applied to children without the knowledge of parents who were being undermined by teachers applying “Values Clarification” to their children.
The Hatch Amendment was ignored by the schools. I phoned Hatch’s office some years later and asked why violation of the law was being allowed. One of his staff told me that as a conservative legislator Hatch could not interfere in what was being done in the states.
This was of course Bu*lsh#t. Hatch got his legislation passed and gained the support of parents. He then refused to force compliance by the schools and gained the support of the education lobby.
Orin Hatch is a really skilled politician. He is also a corrupt whore.
