Here is Brian Williams‘ full interview with President Obama from last night. Williams spoke to the President in New Orleans on the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina about a number of things including Glenn Beck, the birthers, his vacation, and a second term. Normally these network interviews are a fairly orchestrated affair, but this one certainly provided an interesting snapshot into what the president is thinking amidst a fairly heady August news cycle. Regarding Glenn Beck’s large Restoring Honor rally, Obama sounded rather sanguine:

He also called the event “silly season”. There’s no taking that back either.
This interview is only slightly revealing but this one quote IS revealing. Our president seems only focused on what's going on about a week out ahead of us and him. Forget anything further out -- "we've already solved all that with the massive takeovers of health care, financial services, the auto industry and supporting the teachers/auto unions. Now how do I spin this for each of the next 8 weeks heading into election day to minimize the huge damage that I've already done to the nation and my beloved Socialist Party."

Well at least it could be seen if it was.
Contrast this with this:

If Obama were wise, he would have used it as an opportunity to unite people and encourage folks to stand up for Faith, Honor and Charity.
He would have said it is a wonderful thing to Honor our men and woman in the military....but did the man who ran for office as a uniter do that..........NO
Once again Obama proved he is not acting as President of all the people...Obama and Sharpton missed the boat on this one BIG TIME...sad, very sad
One of the rights he wants taken away from us.
He's right, of course. He has to do something about that nasty slice he's developed.
