Did Murkowski’s Mystery Man ‘Mike’ Tamper With Alaska Senate Vote?

Dan Riehl scored a huge scoop late Sunday night with a letter that Joe Miller’s lawyers sent to Alasksa’s lieutenant governor and the chief of the Division of Elections, regarding the activities of a Murkowski campaign operative on Election Day:

Murkowski observer Mike insisted that he had the right to access the Division of Elections computer database and “check voter records.” Over the Miller campaign’s objections, Mike was allowed to use the state computer for 20 minutes before Division Director Gail Fenumial fortunately ordered him off the state computer.

Shenanigans? Quite possibly, yet when the Miller campaign complains about this kind of stuff, Murkowski accuses them of being ”paranoid.”

Alaskans did not just stand idly by, but made their voices heard at the ballot box

Sadly those votes may be under attack. Alaska media is reporting absentee call canvassing going on throughout the state. The callers are apparently representing themselves as being from the National Republican Senatorial Committee or the Alaska Division of Elections and are taking surveys to determine which way absentee voters cast their ballots. A woman contacted our campaign office directly telling how she received such a call, and when she said she voted for Joe the caller hung up.

The Murkowski Campaign has also hired high-powered legal counsel from the Al Franken–Norm Coleman recount debacle to try to skew the results in Murkowski’s favor.

These outside interests could undermine the will of Alaskan voters!

Called Thursday or Friday, it rang and rang but I finally got a young lady and told her what I thought of the NRSC going to Alaska at Murkowski’s request.
