Warehouse blaze still a mystery {voting-machines} {2nd Article: ACORN-Like Vote Fraud in Houston}

- Officials still investigating cause of fire that destroyed voting devices -

A day after a fire destroyed virtually all of Harris County's electronic voting gear, officials were still determining the cause of the warehouse blaze and furiously exploring ways to accommodate voters come early November.

Houston's fire marshal's office hasn't made a ruling on whether Friday's early-morning fire was accidental or deliberately set, said Harris County Clerk Beverly Kaufman, who hopes to hear something on the cause early this week.

"It would break my heart to think someone would do something like this to the election process," she said, adding that she was unaware of anyone who might have had a motive to burn down the building.

Houston Fire Department officials did not return phone calls on Saturday.

Connect the dots and there would be no mystery.

ACORN-Like Vote Fraud in Houston, TX (August 26, 2010 By Warner Todd Huston):

Houston Votes group submitted false voter registrations in ‘systematic attack’ on voting rolls similar to ACORN strategies: Harris County voter registrar

Two Texas activist groups, Houston Votes and Texans Together Education Fund, were accused Tuesday of an organized voter fraud campaign by Harris County Voter Registrar Leo Vasquez, who likened the groups to the now-discredited ACORN.

“The integrity of the voting rolls in Harris County, Texas, appears to be under an organized and systematic attack by the group operating under the name Houston Votes,” Vasquez said at a 2 p.m. press conference at his office, where he also released copies of applications in some of the most egregious cases.

Sean Caddle, the director of Houston Votes, admitted that there may have been “mistakes made” by his vote gathering team but said Houston Votes did nothing wrong and called it a legitimate program.

However, after Caddle was shown examples of Houston Votes workers registering one name – Carmella Bellazer – with the same date of birth six times on the same day, he said “that probably would be a clear case of fraud.”

Caddle is a former SEIU worker from New Jersey and also recently worked in Colorado as part of a voter registration effort there.

Count votes by hand with a lot of supervision. Guard the boxes well - blue ink? to be on the safe side.

I'll take, "How the Democrats plan to steal most if not all of the MID-TERM elections for $500, Alex".

The DUmmies were having conniptions over this, as it’s in Texas, therefore without question the nefarious doings of Rove and Bush.

By the way I wasn’t here at 6:22AM.

I kept asking myself why burn the voting machines in liberal Houston? Then, it occurred to me! Slow counting was a method perfected in Chicago. That is how they stole the election from Nixon in the 1960’s. It got so bad that southern Illinois Republicans held out their counts until Cook County had posted theirs. That way Cook County didn’t know what the “goal” was.

So, putting my tin foil hat firmly on my head, I predict that the Houston area votes will be tallied reeaallly slooow in November.

Are there any tightly contested state-wide races in the balance in Texas? Perhaps Dallas should follow the lead of southern Illinois and count slow.

Millions of dollars are on the line in a red light camera vote coming up. When such oddities as this occurs, its usually not about politics but about MONEY. Someone really wants leeway to rig a vote.

They put more of the process into the hands of the democrat appointees or civil servants administrating the voting process. One possible result is described by the_Watchman in Post #12.

The link to the emergence of ACORN like fraud is the out of state operatives that are apparently attempting to steal the coming electing by any means necessary.

This fire was most likely an attempt to force the city and county to use more absentee and early ballots, where the voter identification cannot be verified.

E-voting machines don't get all that much use in most precincts. 99% of the voters will cast their votes with paper ballots when there is a choice.

Lots of gear was destroyed in that fire - including equipment used to mark paper ballots. The election clerks are already saying they won't be able to handle all the expecting voting at precinct centers and will depend on absentee balloting to absorb the load.

There are also at least 5000 fraudulent voter registrations from ACORN affiliate groups, according to the election supervisors. The true number is probably in the tens of thousands.

You can hide several thousand imaginary voters in the clutter of false registrations, and vote them with absentee ballots. The tipoff is when you start seeing 10-20 names with the same mailing address.

I hope the registrar has people looking for this....

In this case it is very direct. There is no facade surrounding it. Houston has a history of 'unusual' votes that really are primarily financial in basis and non partisan.

For example, the stadium vote was going down in flames, exit polls were showing a loss. But all of a sudden a huge upswing in votes for the stadium occurred in Kingwood. ALL polls showed that the Kingwood area was more opposed to the stadium then all other areas.

Annexation was not popular and very few wanted any part of any Houston project. I don't know a single person that voted for the stadium. Yet the late returns for Kingwood were so hugely in favor of the stadium it went through. The contruction equipment was already on the site and the work started the day after the vote. The result was a foregone conclusion no matter what the voters really wanted.
