ABC News has thrown in the towel on the liberal media's efforts to downplay the huge numbers of Americans who came to the Restoring Honor rally held today at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. by radio and TV host Glenn Beck.
The subheadline of an online report at ABCNews.com reads: Restoring Honor Rally at Sight of MLK's 'I Have a Dream' Speech Draws Hundreds of Thousands of People
Sarah Palin, speaking to Politico during an impromptu interview at Reagan National Airport after her speech at the rally chided the Associated Press for lowballing the monster crowd:
Holding her BlackBerry up with one hand, she lamented that the Associated Press had only pegged attendance as "tens of thousands."
Asked if there were more than 100,000 people there, Palin said: "Oh yeah."

Yes!............
That would put it at well over 600k. But 2.5 per person seems like a lot. Some areas in the photos closer to the Washington Monument they are pretty spread out. Also a good part of the area is covered by large trees. The trunks eat space.. If you use 2x3 per person or 6 sq ft it’s over 250k probably closer to 300k because of the side with the lake I didn’t calculate
I had on a Miss Me Yet T-short, but the only people with signs were the liberal agitators and they were on the mall.
There were dozens of people at Beck's rally.
No, they did do a count for an event in 2009.
Yeah, this is going to be almost as important as that Promise Keepers rally on the Mall in ‘97 where there had to be at least 150% of the Beck crowd today! And look at how influential that get together was on the future of America! You know, that Promise Keepers movement.... a few years back... who were those guys?
I was shocked at the ridiculous ABC Radio story at 5 p.m., crediting King’s niece and Sarah Palin with the big rally—though nice quotations from Ms. King—then relegating “rightwinger” Beck in a sarcastic tone—to the leader of a smaller rally elsewhere. Missed the 6 p.m. news, but by 7 the story was rewritten as Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin holding Restoring Honor rally before a crowd of 10’s of thousands. All reference to Ms. King was gone. Al Sharpton led a rally elsewhere.
I’m glad you heard what I did. I hope Beck does a montage of stupid press coverage, with special treatment for the ABC radio fool who wrote today’s news segment. I want a name, and a vacancy in the nearest unemployment line for such an idiot who gives even terrible journalism a bad name.
Jim J. Bullock?
It’s got to kill the libs that Alveda King attended and said; “I am attending this rally to help reclaim America”.
I knew that when I put it in my slideshow.
Yea, but that was the 10 man march not the million man march. It was easy to count.
That was a joke. On what I wrote, I saw it on ABC news that they do not count the crowd any more. Given the credibility of the two sources - you as a fellow FReeper and ABC News - I must go with the more reliable source, you. I stand corrected.
They did obama’s inauguration. I just hated to put it in print.
