Thank you ST...I was thinking the same thing.
Now Rush might mention the event, if he has to...but he won’t mention Beck’s name. He NEVER mentions Beck’s name.
He will mention Levin’s name from time to time and he invited Levin to his wedding.
He seldom mentions Hannity...in the case of Beck and Hannity he does acknowledge when a caller mentions their names.
Don’t misunderstand...Rush is nothing if not classy about it but he doesn’t go giving his competition free publicity and why should he?
Levin and Hannity are downright nasty about Beck sometimes....gotta read between the lines. Hnnity will sometimes call in to Levin and they’ll talk about Beck in symbolspeech. Levin calls Beck the midafternoon back bencher or some such.
You gotta develop an ear for it. I am a bit of a talk radio junkee.
And hey, I like Levin...really. But he can be a nasty jealous twit at times.
Hannity is, by me, an airhead who only got big on talk radio because he was one of the first on the scene. I can’t listen to his show more than an hour at a time, at most.
But that’s just me.
Rush will always be the best and he doesn’t need to lean on anyone for a bit of cast off sunshine.
Hannity also went to Rush’s wedding, but I don’t think I have ever heard him mentioned on Rush’s show.
I thought I heard Rush mention Beck before—not at any length, but it was not in any way nasty either. I don’t think Rush has the desire to engage in any pi$$ing matches. For some reason some of these other radio personalities do.
I have heard Rush mention and sometimes discuss Beck when Beck is mentioned in a news story. But now that Beck has took off like a rocketship in ratings, he will skip right over the mention.
Yeah, Rush even rotates his fills ins to avoid building any one up too much. Can’t say I blame him. As I watched Beck I was wondering whether if he would be bigger as a minister with his own worldwide media church, or as what he is, a very religious political commentator. Just a thought.

Agree that Hannity is an airhead. I can’t listen to him either.
Levin has substantive and accurate criticisms of Beck, especially his rhetoric indicating that Democrats and Republicans are equally to blame for things and his flirtations with Ron Paul-style foreign and defense policies.
Apparently, Beck read sections of Levin’s book on the air without crediting the author. Very tacky. Levin always credits the sources of items he discusses on the air.
I love your analysis.
