That’s a fine argument, as far as it goes. But the corollary is that Rounds/King/Bachmann/DeMint/Bolton etc. would be equally unknown as a Hunter and thus have little chance. In fact, Ive heard that argument made. Unknown or the infamous ‘no executive experience’. So if we end up with a couple of these guys running against the Newt HuckRomlenty’s of the world - should I pick a Newt Huckromlenty because they “can” be nominated? Or are we going to learn from 2008 that media annointed frontrunners are usually a bad thing.

If Sarah runs, she will win, and it'll be fun to find out who she picks as the VP candidate.

Trust me, she's not the media candidate.........

And what does Romney and the rest have to do with this thread anyway?

A valid point. The answer, of course, is that we should shun the 'media-chosen' Republican nominee with extreme prejudice.

As to Palin, the media is doing everything in their power to prevent her from being chosen as the Republican nominee for 2012. In her case, she's actually got the necessary level of support from the voters to be chosen, which is how it should be.
