I'd rather they bring back dueling.
If they don't even try very hard, there should be hundreds of executions for treason.
Boy that worked so great with Clinton. Here’s an idea GOP, how about you LEAD? How about you start getting legislation passed (and repealed) that aids the country in getting out of this hole? How about you live the ideals you represent, instead of engaging in the endless finger-pointing and saying “Boy look at that piece of crap.” That’s not leadership.
Agenda of story: Don’t vote Repub, as they will tie up Congress with petty investigations, and get nothing done.
Interesting. Nothing about getting to the bottom of the Lockerbie bomber deal....
I think the Republicans should keep their powder dry before giving the Rat Party another reason to to lie and cheat their way into maintaining their grip on power.
The Media will portray this as a situation where the Mean Old Republicans are looking for revenge, not investigating the abuse of power in Congress and the White House. As usual, the poor little Rats will be the victims.
Showing your cards before the hand is dealt is not the way to win. The day after the Election is the time to give the enemy a list of your intentions, if you win of course.
Don't get cocky kid, is more than a line in a Star Wars Movie.
1. No funding for health care boondoggle; attempt to repeal.
2. Cut federal spending, INCLUDING JOBS drastically; no more gubmint jobs for dem Comnists.
3. De-fund all czars.
4. Prevent agencies from acting like legislators making law, eg EPA; sunset legislation for all federal agencies.
5. NO MORE BAILOUTS
6. Stop illegal immigration, support AZ law, no amnesty; legislation to prevent anchor babies from becoming citizens, automatically via clause in 14th.
7. 10th amendment mode
8. Stop earmarks; legislation that treats the Louisiana and Nebraska briberies as just that -felonies.
9. Support for 28th? amendment that all laws that affect the public affects the Congress, including requiring Congress to fall under Social Security and elimination of their potentate retirement system.
10. Repeal of the law that subverts the 27th amendment, re pay raises.
11. Legislation that prevents states (CA, IL, etc.) from subverting the 2nd amendment.
12. No funding for homosexuals in the military.
13. Eliminate use of the franking privilege for “electioneering” within six months of a primary election. Both parties are guilty of this and it provides a federally funded advantage to incumbents.
14. Foreign aid should be significantly reined in. Why are we sending millions/billions, often to corrupt and unfriendly govts, when we have people hurting here at home and it further contributes to the deficit.
15. Make “golden parachutes” for unsuccessful executives a pariah.
16. Abolish IRS and simplify tax code; flat or fair tax is probably not achievable.
Going after past abuses, unless they are continuing, is probably counterproductive. If new ones crop up, hit’em in the nads. The focus should be on jobs and support of business, cutting spending, etc.
While it would make most of us feel good for them to go after the Demcraps, it will potentially be perceived by the public as more of the same. Our compass must be focused on 2012 and how we can put an end to the regime. The press and demcraps will not be on our side, but if we remain focused on the things that piss the public off, we should be okay.

We have a saying on FR, “loose lips sink ships.”
Apparently GOP staffers never heard it before.
You don't speak for this American, Ahole
Be still my heart. This, and a massive audit of Fannie and Freddie, with subpoenas, will make my year.
Darrell Issa is almost unknown nationally right now.
A year from now he’ll be one of the best known people in DC.
Said by whom? Unnamed sources, of course. The writer is conveniently ignoring the evidence that ACORN has reorganized under different names in various states. There was quite a bit of discussion of this on FR last year.
I am privileged to live in Issa's district, and I imagine he hasn't forgotten. He is tenacious.
