Republican Meg Whitman has moved out ahead of Democrat Jerry Brown in the California governor's race after months of being in statistical or actual ties, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted Aug. 24. Whitman, the former head of eBay, leads Brown, the state's attorney general, by 48 percent to 40 percent with 6 percent favoring some other candidate and 6 percent undecided. The margin of error is 4 points. (Snip) When "leaners" are counted -- those voters who did not express an initial preference until pressed for a choice -- Whitman leads by 51 percent to 43 percent.

The fate of the Democrats is welded to the ‘bammer’s approval rating.
Can’t really argue with that. But, having had Brown as the Governor before, I would like to have him NOT again as Governor.
Whitman is better than Brown, if you make your measurement with a micrometer.
Yep. Either way we lose. But with Jerry “moonbeam” Brown and his Code Pink cheering section California would fare far worse. The only silver lining of a Brown governorship would be that CA demise would be under a Democrat. A far Lefty one at that.
Just for the record, I despise Meg Whitman.
They both are garbage as are our govenor candidates here in Florida.
I wonder why Whitman is leading Brown and Fiorina is slightly behind Boxer. I think Fiorina is the better of the two Republican candidates.
I don’t like Moonbeam, but seriously: is anything going to change out there in California next year?
I’d look at a Meg win as more of a moral victory than an actual win for conservatives.
The dike is going to burst sooner or later. The question is do you put your finger in the dike to delay what’s coming or just allow the dike to let go?
(I loved writing that)
Oh, I am voting for Meg Whitman. Then, I expect her to be the RINO I know she is.
I look at Meg Whitman as a bad case of the clap, vs. Jerry Brown’s AIDS.
If this article reports reality, then it will not make a difference if I do not cast a vote for governor.
It is imperative that conservatives vote. We have to get the vote out and put in who we can. Even if it is not exactly what we want.
That is simply wrong! You don’t need to through gay bashing into this conversation! /sarc
I can sympathize, we have the same situation in the Illinois Senate race. No way can I vote for either of the worthless bastards.
I use to wonder why the feds never went in and really cleaned up Chicago politics?
At this point I have NO confidence that the feds are even honest about trying.
Yes, ammo sales will not be allowed unless you are fingerprinted and you can only buy 50 rounds at a time, which means no one will sell ammo in Ca next year. Yes that is going to also change next year.
Gheesshhhhhh, I hate this. Brown or Whitman, would you prefer the firing squad or hanging, what a choice. Why,why, why?????????
