Possibly.... but their were a number of "false flag" attacks where the right was set up to be the fall guy. The attacks were front page until the culprit turned out to be crazed leftists - and the story predictably disappeared from the MSM.

I remember one involved an attack by a cross gender leftist/anarchist on a democrat campaign office (or something similar).

It takes a lot of anger or fear or psycho-pathology to go after another person with a knife. There is nothing that I've seen about this guy that would indicate that he has the kind of psychiatric make-up that would enable him to be so viscous out of nothing but political calculation.
