...even if the weak kneed GOP retakes Congress in 2010 no one is going to even bring up impeachment - would be RACIST ya know. Don't be so sure that some of the new breed, Tea Party Republicans arriving to DC in January won't have impeachment on their minds. Whether they can gather enough numbers to force the old guard to push the issue is the only question.
Here's the thing. The People are now pushing the agenda. The Democrats are actually voting and legislating AGAINST a clear tide of opposition from the public, and it's why they're about to lose control of Congress. It's only going to get worse for them, from here on out.
The cat's out of the bag, and there ain't no catching him now. We've come much too far to be placated by a GOP takeover of Congress this Fall.
If they believe that up on Capitol Hill, they've got a major surprise in store for them. Regaining the majority is only the beginning, and they'd better start hearing that right now, or things in this country are going to heat up even more.
I hope you are right. Just don't count on Juan McAmnesty to be listening to us or supporting any efforts of impeachment - he cannot wait to get back to the District of Corruption and start kissing the Kenyan’s a$$ now that his next six years are guaranteed. He was running scared for the past year and had his conservative conversion. BUT if anyone thinks that conversion is going to stick, just watch what happens almost immediately after the new GOP Congress is sworn in - Cap and Tax, and Amnesty will be front and center for Juan. THEN we will see FR posters yelling about how rotten he is - Arizonans (including me) had a chance to dump him for new blood, but there were not enough of us.
I am concerned that it does not bode well for Nov 2, 2010, but am trying to be optimistic.
