Aloha again!
Visiting the mainland is always on my mind lately but no plans have been drawn up. Had a chat Sunday with my brother way up north who's planning on retiring next year. He wants to visit me, something he's never had the chance to do before. This has got me scheming and plotting out a tour agenda.
Hmmmmm.....
a stroll around Volcano Nat'l Park,
Kona,
Waimea and Hamakua on a circle island tour.
Just a couple thoughts.....

Aloha Teenster!
Actually, I've sorta been adopted by the instructor as a tutor to assist some of the other students around me. (They take their work much too seriously and need to lighten up.)

Yes, they are! One consolation is that girls/women seem to keep up
with their families after marriage better than boys/men do.

LOL...this pic makes me think of Sonboy. He did a hot wing challenge today where they use ghost pepper powder on the wings.
He made it through 10 wings but is starting the feel the after effects!:)

Not really, I was drafted.
Actually, surprisingly, he's someone who has shared military experiences with me, although he was a Bubblehead and a shipboard sailor and I rarely was. He spent some of his early years at DaNang, shipboard on a cruiser, doing bombardments and on Yankee Station.
I suppose I'd have settled for a young babe for an instructor but he's doing fine.

Thank you very much Kathy, seems I’ve been coming and going out of state so have been negligent in dropping a line once in awhile.
VJ Day passed almost without a whimper and I’m sure many FReepers have seen this but if not please goto this link (I need to go back to HTML bootcamp, I can’t seem to create a hot link), maximize the image, turn up volume and have a good cry with a huge smile on your faces.
The link just MIGHT work...
