Yellow Cab to stop running anti-Islam ads ( CAIR vs Pamela Geller )

The ads, sponsored by the group Stop of Islamization of America, appeared on 25 Chicago cabs this summer. Beside pictures of young women who were allegedly killed by their Muslim fathers for refusing an Islamic marriage, dating a non-Muslim or becoming "too Americanized" was the message: "Is your family threatening you?"

Pamela Geller, a leader of Stop the Islamization of America, previously told the Tribune that Muslims are increasingly taking over schools, financial institutions and the workplace. Geller said the ads were directed at "Muslims girls in trouble, living in fear of their lives, struggling to find resources to help." Geller... is also one of the leaders against building the Park51 mosque near the site of the Sept. 11 attacks in New York...

The Council on American Islamic Relations considered legal action regarding the ads. It chose not to after a story in Sunday's Tribune "shed light" on the controversy, said Ahmed Rehab, executive director of CAIR-Chicago.

"It's long overdue," Rehab said of the ads' removal. "These ads are sponsored by a notoriously bigoted anti-Muslim group. It's a classic case of false advertising."

It can only be false advertising if the purchaser of the ad was not telling the truth.

I was at the protest site in NYC on Sunday. It was generally a pretty cordial affair, with one exception: The cab driver who drove by in front of the group and gave the one-finger salute.

While I’m not sure, I’d bet a good amount of money that his last name wasn’t Goldberg, Smith or O’Leary.

Huffington Post Makes Up Story: Supports Honor Killings



Left wing journalism has taken up writing fiction as news.

The Huffington Post is reporting that that taxi ads I created to help girls whose lives were in danger were pulled off taxi cabs in Chicago. The entire ad campaign has already ran in full. The campaign contract ended July 28th. It's important for people to pay attention to the propaganda being churned out by yellow journalists advancing the agenda of Islamic supremacists.

Our campaign was directed at women trying to escape fundamentalist households who have no resources, no network or safe place (like Rifqa Bary.)

No ads were pulled except those taken down by Muslim cab drivers who .... support death to apostates? Who knows, but western media deriding these ads are, in effect, aiding and abetting the abuse and violence suffered by victims of Islamic honor killings like Aqsa Parvez, Amina and Sarah Said, Noor Almaleki and the near death beating of Harry Potter movie star Afshan Azad. (Azad's parents were born and raised in London. She was dating a non-Muslim boy. So much for the cultural differences meme.)

I love how the Huffington Post writes, "Pamela Geller, who has been dubbed the "Queen of Muslim Bashers" -- uh, dubbed by whom? Yes, you guessed it, The Huffington Post. They are really sick.

There is a concerted campaign to smear my work. I am proud of the taxi campaign and pray that the girls who have who been helped will be able to lead safe and secure lives, a right of every individual in this great land of ours. No one would be offended by those ads except Islamic supremacists and their shills.

91 percent of honor killings worldwide are done by Muslims. 84 percent of honor killings in US done by Muslims. And according to one expert, honor killings are on the rise. And while we see in rare instances in other cultures, it is clear that the Islamic legal toleration for honor killings leads to an increased rate of such killings among them.

This is growing problem that is being hidden and obfuscated by the big liberal press. The West is reluctant to speak of it, media whitewashes it. But that cannot stand. We must give these girls shelter from the storm. The taxi ads ran in Chicago, New York City, Boston and DC.

Your end date for the Chicago campaign was July 28th 2010 (please review the contracts). There are currently still 3 tops with your ad on them in Chicago, however those are being taken down tomorrow. If anything, your campaign has received a longer run than it was supposed to, and his article about them being “pulled” is completely false. On another note, your ad’s were on independent taxi owners cars and never on Yellow Taxi (the name of the company is yellow taxi) cars, although the vehicle might have been yellow. It appears this reporter is trying to create a story.

Here's the derangement syndrome over at the Huffington Post (Puff Ho): Yellow Cab Will Stop Running Anti-Islam Ads

Earlier this summer, the leader of the group "Stop the Islamization of America" took out ads on 25 Chicago taxi cabs--and as of Tuesday, all of them will be removed.

Pamela Geller, who has been dubbed the "Queen of Muslim Bashers" and leads the "Stop the Islamization of America" movement, claimed the ads were directed toward Muslim women wanting to leave Islam--but ended up offending both cab drivers and passengers.

Today, Yellow Cab CEO Michael Levine issued a statement announcing the removal of the ads:

"Recently, the head of the group 'Stop the Islamization of America' took out ads on Chicago-area taxis. The ads in question were carried by independent affiliates of Yellow Cab Affiliation. The fleet owner was contracted and paid by an independent advertising company specializing in taxi top advertising."

"When Yellow Cab became aware of the ads three weeks ago, we immediately called the advertising company and asked to have the ads removed. We were told that they were taken down, but we found out today that three such ads were still running. They will be removed today. Yellow Cab does not regularly approve advertising content carried by our affiliates, but we do reserve the right to ask them to remove ads that offend either the drivers or the public."
