PHOENIX - The Latino group Somos America has announced a boycott of Budweiser products in Arizona, targeting Hensley Beverage Company, which distributes Bud and Bud Light. Hensley Beverage Company made political contributions to state lawmakers who voted in favor of SB 1070. Somos America, Spanish for "We are America," says SB 1070 leads to fear and hate towards the Latino community, so until Hensley publicly denounces the law, people should not buy Bud or Bud Light.
"I will no longer drink Budweiser. It has been a favorite of mine but no more, I refuse to give my money to enterprises that finance sponsors of hateful public policies that hurt me, my family, my neighbors, and hurt the state of Arizona," says Roberto Reveles from Somos America.
Somos America says it's met with Hensley attorneys but has gotten nowhere. The distribution company refused an interview, but sent a statement saying it is deeply disappointed.
"This call for a boycott is an obvious cheap political stunt motivated solely by self-promotion and is clearly counterproductive to what is in the best interest of our state and its citizens," Hensley statement...
Great news. Now if they will just boycott more brands, maybe we won’t have the carnage on our highways from drunk Latinos.
“I will no longer drink Budweiser. It has been a favorite of mine but no more”,...................... LOL, typical, do what I say not what I do. I’m sure he’ll sneak a few Buds in now and then.
With regards to your boycott of Bud and it's distributor?
How's about you go and F*&k yourselves?
Much obliged.

No problemo, I haven’t drank Bud in decades. Never did like that overly foamy quality. As far as mexs go, I thought they drank Modelo. I don’t see too many mex’s at the pick up labor site drinking Bud. Just sayin.
ML/NJ
Hensley is Mrs. John McCain, Cindy Hensley.
Somos America, Spanish for “We are America,”
But if they really were America, then their name would be “We are America”, in American English and not some Mexican Spanish el lingo.
“Great news. Now if they will just boycott more brands, maybe we wont have the carnage on our highways from drunk Latinos.”
Amen.. 100% ACCURATE!
GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY!
Good luck with that one...
Good. The fewer people drink that swill, the better.
I thought most of them drank Dos Equis or Carta Blanca, those cheap@$$ mexican beers. Maybe the yuppie gringos should boycott Corona con lima.
I just hope nobody boycotts Keystone Light or Milwaukee’s Best Light. Those are the only two I can afford, except when Lone Star is on sale.
I boycotted Miller Lite after the blasphemous “art” sponsorship at some homosexual event.
I will definitely drink Bud Lite . . .
There are several Mexican beers I’ve had that I like, Bohemia, Negra Modelo, Dos Eques, I even like Corona with lime if I’m in the mood, and Tecate with lime, salt and chile sauce if I’m in the mood. The best one — the far and above the best — I have ever had is only made at Christmas time, it is called Noche Buena. (Gee, it sounds like I sit around drinking beer all the time, but in reality I rarely have it.) Hiccup.
I do think the Hensley in the Hensley Beverage Company is none other than Cindy McCain. Since John McCain is for now, a tough on border security conservative Hensley Beverage will just ignore the boycott.
But on November 3, when McCain starts his normal post election move to the left, Hensley will then move to accommodate the boycotters.
Hispanics boycotted Coors in the early 1980’s over a labor dispute and almost bankrupted them.
“I will no longer drink Budweiser. It has been a favorite of mine but no more,...”
BS. I’d bet this sucker never drank anything but Mexican Beer period.
