Fitting I should be the first to call and wish Mr Bradbury a happy birthday.

Mr. Bradbury is a real lifelong inspiration of mine and I cherish the autographed books I own. Someone I know is a close friend of his, and this article reflects the same kindness and attitude that I hear about him from her.

I remember The Illustrated Man being the first 'grown-up' book I ever read. It gave me a life-long love of science fiction at the tender age of 6.
Bless you, Mr. Bradbury....and Happy Birthday!

My favorite and still relevant. I just happened to be reading his prescient
"The Pedestrian" yesterday.

An excellent article. I started reading Bradbury in the 1950s (”The Martian Chronicles”), and still consider him an inspiration. I remember when one of the Mars probes landed, Bradbury was on TV as a commentator. The anchor asked him if he was disappointed that no sign on intelligent life had been found on Mars. His reply, “On the contrary, now we KNOW there is evidence of intelligent life on Mars.”

Did not know that Bradbury helped “John Boy” get his first start. Great writer.
