“If I live in that state, I’d go ahead and vote for the Democrat over Juan.”

We can see how well that has worked with the last presidential election.
Barack Obama is so much better for our nation than McCain would have been.

“The bright side is that maybe rabscuttle will stop his incessant posting.”

You can “scuttle” that thought, even though JDs ship got scuttled. As a PDSer, he will have plenty of opportunities for a continuance of his inane comments. Pissant designated him to carry on the fight after he bailed out.

McCain, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me-where does that put Arizona’s GOP after re-electing RINOPrimo in 2010?

Arizona has open primaries. Anyone can vote in any party’s primary election.

The party member break down in Arizona is fairly even between Repubs, Dems and Indies.

If you look at the actual vote breakdown from yesterday you get 500,000 for McCaint and 246,000 for JD.

There are about 1 million registered Repubs with a 24% turnout and you get many dems and indies voting in the repub primary skewing the result in favor of McCaint.

It is time to close the primaries in Arizona

Well that goes to show you just how stupid Republicans really are. The sheer ignorance in their midst proves that nothing, absolutley nothing is for sure in November. I would even say it’s a long shot that we ever get this country back on a conservative track. Also I would have to think that the democrats again gave us Juan, just like every other time. I used to talk to a democrat from AZ and they always voted for Juan in the primary if they didn’t need to use their vote for a democrat. This was most likely dumb Republicans, McCainiacs and democrats that ushered in more backstabbing and pain for Conservatives. McCain will make sure to spread the pain around to all Conservatives when he gets back in too, believe that. It was a well thought out plan and Hayworth was doomed because of the AZ open primary. Just like any candidate in WI. Open primaries must go and ID’s must be made part of the voting process. Then again when that happens pigs will fly.

Something is wrong that they can’t win. but I don’t agree if your saying they suck because they lost.
Perhaps.

But, there is an old saying among salespeople that, "If you don't make the sale, it's not the BUYER's fault."

YOU failed to "find a need and fill it."
Similarly, there must be some BASIC SKILLS to the political game that one has to master to be successful:
raise money, sharpen your message, get the word out, recruit/train/motivate volunteers, work the media, etc.
Governor Palin will be our next President -- God willing -- but she can't to EVERYTHING. :o)

“Hopefully there will be an independent Tea Party candidate so Arizonans don’t have to vote for either.”

And the demonrats are counting on that because in the end a third party equals a democrat win. Just ask Clinton.

Yep. Can't wait to see the Palin Protectorate here on FR post those victory threads on Palin's endorsements - especially about McInsane.

Each and every one of 'em should be ushered into the light of the next Bug Zapper (c) thread and allowed to join the dearly departed RudyBots on the 'other side'.

I still suspect a lot of democrat crossover voting in an open primary state.

I'll go with PSYCHO-FREEP when it comes to wisdom, that ok with you n00b?

Arizona has open primaries.

It does not.

Unaffiliated voters can vote either Republican or Democratic but a registered Democrat cannot cross over.

So be it, then.
McCain's ride ends this November.

I'd rather have a freshman Democrat voting with the Democrats than a Republican in leadership voting with the Democrats. One gives the Democrats a hell of a lot of 'bipartisan' cover. The other doesn't. If the Senator for Arizona is going to be voting with the Democrats either way, then let him own the label.

Actually it is a true open primary. I asked the precinct worker if I could have a dem ballot instead of my repub one and she said you only have to ask.

It doesn’t seem doubtful to me that if Palin had endorsed Hayworth instead of McCain, John Judas would now be facing several months as a lameduck Senator instead of six more years of betraying conservatism.

But that would have required a courageous, principled stand instead of mere personal political ambition.

It is time to close the primaries in Arizona

How you gonna do that, when the Republican Party is controlled by McCain Republicans?

You are exactly right, wait until the liberal states pick our nominee again in 2012. The RNC loves this process, they keep and maintain power via Rino's who are all about the Republican party and not the American people. McCain's victory in Arizona is exactly how our presidential candidate will be chosen. I like Sarah, but she doesn't stand a chance when the very party she is running for is her worst enemy. That is the reality of the situation on the ground.

Unless you are an unaffiliated voter the precinct worker was wrong.

This was a state sponsored primary and since the 1998 reforms which allowed the participation of "Independents", no cross ballot voting is allowed.

The Presidential primaries are Party sponsored and are true closed primaries.

Well McCain seems to a lock to win anyways so it would be good to have a independent Tea Party person for conservatives. I just don’t see how anybody conservative would vote McCain. I’ll take anybody against McCain. But that is me and I am not in Arizona. I’m stuck in a state just as bad. Kansas his in the same boat of electing Rinos.
