Hmm:

Thanks caww. The main goal of the terrorists operating inside Pakistan has been to cut US overland supply lines to Afghanistan. Maybe they got their hands on a weather machine. ;’)

I kind of doubt it. China props up Kim. In fact, I wonder if North Korea’s recent troublemaking might actually be influenced and/or encouraged by China- just to test how the world will react. Of course, I could be dead wrong; its just a guess. Thoughts?
Out goes big kim and in comes rittle kim.
Then the purges begin. Its because of revenge and fear.
A lot of shivering and shaking going on in certain parts of the Commie hierarchy. Totalitarian states have difficulty transitioning power from one faction to another, and we need not laugh too loudly.
We have the same problem, its just that its far more subtle, since the people here are not yet in the know. They are starting to “get it.” Genuflect to the government and all will be well, go against it and the entire nation , its economy, its institutions, its very allies, will be destroyed. Thats the message here.
What is it in North Korea??The same, only they are far ahead on the curve to zero freedom, and they can disapper in the night never to be seen again, their economy, and society are already destroyed.
We are now on that same path. And we need to get off it.

“Im serious. South Korea has never been that great of an ally - we should just let the hungry dogs eat them.”
FYI the Southies fought by our side in Viet Nam having the second largest contingent in SEA (behind the U.S.) and were fierce fighters at that. The Viet Cong were terrified of them.
Between 1965 and 1973, 312,853 South Korean soldiers fought in Vietnam.
I keep wondering if North Korea is going to attack South Korea very soon after Israel attacks Iran, if and when Israel does attack Iran.
Undocumented refugees? Kinda strange that the undocumented Democrats coming over our border aren't referred to as "refugees"?
NO way can we afford to feed them all!
Perhaps they'd be willing to compromise? Maybe we could simply issue them motor-voter registrations (and mail them absentee ballots), and let them vote in our elections, WITHOUT having to feed and house them?
Hey, this could work for OTHER countries too! Just think of the savings! We would no longer be having to provide food, medical care, and other social benefits!
I wonder if these good people would be willing to settle for that kind of compromise?
Probably not (being realistic about it). So, most likely, they'll come here, and we'll have to feed, house, and care for them.
And, of course, they'll still get those motor-voter cards anyway.
And people wonder why it is that the democrats don't worry about losing power? This, combined with the idiocy of The Stupid Party (watch -- see if we DON'T have Romney running against Bambi -- with Palin's endorsement!) -- I'm resigned to the handwriting on the wall. It was a fun couple hundred years. Now, welcome to the dreary gray future of socialist utopiahell.
There’s always the unpleasant possibility that a crumbling dictatorial government may try and shore itself up by distracting its people with some external military adventure i.e. “reunification” with the “oppressed” south.
The CHICOMs goal is military and economic hegemony in East Asia. A united Korea would be an economic rival but also a strong trading partner. It would also bring to an end US military presence there.
China wants NK as regime finished but in such a way as to minimize their risk of refugees and maximize the burden on SK. So I would read their actions through that prism.
I think China is going to use honey, rather than vinegar to pull South Korea (and ultimately a united Korea) into their sphere of influence.
