That still doesn’t translate into “tons.” I don’t consider new signups whose only purpose is to argue for homosexual rights as authentic FReepers. I’d say the vast majority of FReeprs are opposed to the homosexual agenda.

I think “tons” describes the shock of a 2003 signup pushing the agenda. There are usually 3 on a thread. One gets the zot and the other 2 go silent. The next thread will have 3 different posters but same scenario. I don’t expect ANY on FR but they’re here.

I think I am coming at this whole issue from a different angle. It may be tons, or just a few, but strong response to error is a good thing. However, what bothers me is being attacked as a promoter of a homosexual agenda when I have never once commented in support of anything that can even be creatively depicted as such. I agree that there is probably reason for people to be touchy, but if we are going to eat our own then good conservatives are quickly going to find other places to post. What good would FreeRepublic be doing then? That is my point of view anyway.

I agree that the vast majority of freepers are opposed to the homosexual agenda. But a surprisingly large number have been vocally in favor of it, just lately.

My list of 40 is not complete, there are more. Many are old signup dates that seem pretty normal except they are in favor of “gay” rights and have been more vocal lately.

>>I’d say the vast majority of FReeprs

The challenge is in "conserving" the Individual religious morality of the founders - in the context of the FReedom it creates.

Liberty Vs Fatal Liberality
Truth Vs Chaos

FReepers are human, and not immune to the effect of the moral dilemma manufactured when folks like Dick Cheney, Juan McCain - and their children - become instruments which lead folks into "normalizing" the Un-Godly disordered abomination of Nature.... for political or pecuniary expedience.
"I KNOW BUT ONE CODE OF MORALITY FOR MEN WHETHER ACTING SINGLY OR COLLECTIVELY"
--Thomas Jefferson
People lose sight of that when their faith is rooted in religionist collective proxy.... instead of what they see in The Word and Creation - with their own free mind.
"The right to search for truth implies also a duty; one must not conceal any part of what one has recognized to be true."
