Deutsche Bank: Don't Worry, All This Recession Talk Is Nonsense

Deutsche Bank have taken a closer look at one of the recession indicators troubling market participants the most right now, the index of Leading Economic Indicators (LEI).
The main concern is the slowdown in the LEI over the last three months, with it up only 1.1%.
But Deutshe Bank says not to worry about this three month stat.
Only when the 12- month change in the LEI turns negative, matching a decline in the 3-month change does one need to become extremely worried about a recession.
So it is only in the context of the 12 month LEI that the three month matters. And right now, the 12 month growth rate is 7.1%.
So no risk of a recession just yet, according to Deutshe Bank.

Ignore the foot of water in your living room. There is NO flooding.
:)
BTW, keep it up. Love your threads!
It is all nonsense from America. Get the marxist destroyer out and the world will normalize.
sorry all, muslim marxist, that is
Oh, and my manager and two of my peers were laid off today. I’m in an industry in Seattle that was thought to be impervious to this thing.
No, I am not at Microsoft. ;)
They must be talking about Germany. Their economy is doing well but the Germans do not elect Muslims to destroy their country (just Austrian usurpers). The US-Islamic economy is going down in flames.
Were they lib Dems who voted for the Imam? I hope you are able to hang in there.
Hope & Change economy.
Don’t worry! Be Happy! All is well, Dear Reader is in charge
>>Were they lib Dems who voted for the Imam? I hope you are able to hang in there.<<
One was. The other was VERY conservative. Regarding me, I am pretty much done with the process to move on to a new job with another company. I got the official job offer last week.
It will allow me to live and work from my farm in central Kentucky.
I see myself pretty much as a spectator here now. Frankly, I’d LOVE to have it happen to me. The severance package would be like free money. ;)
But obviously for the 12 month to eventually show a decline that has to START with a 3 month decline... Certainly it could turn around or it could continue down. What these analysts are not accounting for is the disaster sitting in the white house which will pretty much insure the downtrend continues. Looking at historical charts do you no good in this situation.
Best of luck. I am glad you have a new job especially near your farm. I hope the conservative guy finds one too.
Thank you. BTW, the job is not near my farm. Rather, it allows me to live wherever I want. And it was important to keep my “Seattle area” wages.
Nice. I thought it was some sort of tele/internet commuting. Best of luck.

Sure. Why not? The Germans are masters at lying. “Free Showers! No, really, they’re free showers—come on in! And don’t forget, work makes you free!”
