The first school in the D.C. area named after the current president opens Monday morning as the school year begins in Prince George's County.
Barack Obama Elementary School opens its doors in Upper Marlboro, Md., for the first time Monday. The school is being touted as being an environmentally friendly "green" school. There have been other schools named after President Obama in the country, but this will be a first in his own backyard in the D.C. region.
That's just one of several new initiatives for Prince George's Public Schools this year. The District also will open an all-male charter school in Upper Marlboro. Called Possibility Prep, the new school will emphasize math, science and engineering. Officials hope that the all-male environment will do away with many distractions and allow students to focus on their studies.
School officials are hopeful that this year's opening will be free of the scheduling problems that plagued the first day of school last year. Last fall, thousands of students were late to class because of a computer glitch that made a mess of class schedules.

Let’s just name everything after the Dear Leader like in North Korea. Frankly at this point an argument could be made that naming this school for Zero violates separation of church and state. The Obamacult is very much a religion.
They were more corrupt and inefficient than the DC Government, and that is really saying something.
I never found a single PG County employee who was qualified to perform the job they held title too. The entire operation was to give high pay to as many people as possible.

Will they teach the koran in English or Arabic? Is female stoning an intramural sport? Will there be an Ebonics literacy test? Will students go to school three days and then on vacation for four weeks? Is corporal beheading allowed? Are prayer rugs provided? Will there be ACORN, Black Panther and SEIU career counselors? Is Wagyu beef and lobster on the menu? Will the captain of the golf team be the student body president? FREE ICE CREAM!! Spam Sushi!!

And to think I almost got on their police force.....whew.
Naming crime-ridden streets “Martin Luther King Boulevard” didn’t help cut the crime. Naming a school after Obama won’t do anything to help them learn.
Yep, years from now, these kids will have to acknowledge that they went to a school named after the worst president ever!!
It will go a long way to explain why they will be in intensive therapy for most of their lives!!
