Well, with the LEFT, it seems things like saying the Pledge of Allegiance, or flying your flag outside your condo, etc. might be considered “too patriotic.” “yo Rock” thinks killing bad guys is ok.......I read Brad Pitt thinks killing bad is not ok (against death penalty)....but ok (for death penalty) if used on BP Oil executives......crazy times we live in.....crazy people......

They also think a mosque at Ground Zero is “building bridges”. They probably don’t care about the mosque, they just like anything that shares their disdain for the West and America.

I think they mean "jingoistic". I'm only assuming this, because, as you say, "too patriotic" doesn't make any sense. Whether the film actually IS jingoistic I don't know. I'll have to go and see. In fact, I might have to go and see it several times just to make sure. Unfortunately, the very fact of viewing it might annoy the people who have decreed it is "too patriotic". However, one does have a commitment to accuracy... :)

They also think a mosque at Ground Zero is building bridges.Yes. Building bridges into the Great Satan over which warriors, arms, money and supplies can be shipped and utilized in Jihad.

But he’s always struck me as being pretty patriotic. And perhaps he’s getting more conservative. People tend to, as they grow up.

...crazy times we live in.....crazy people......What do we expect when our culture seeks scientific and political advice from people whose only claim to fame is acting as if they were someone they are not.
Arguably, we'd do better canvassing the average lunatic assylum for geopolitical, scientific, and cultural advice.

We saw this movie last week and it was a good, shoot em up type of male action movie. While I sat there, I kept reminding myself that it was 'just a movie' as violence tends to upset me.
It showed respect for women and disdain for a corrupt government and military. Maybe I am getting desensitized to vulgar language, but I don't recall any. I actually enjoyed it as 'good' won out over 'evil' which always makes me feel warm and fuzzy when I leave the theater.
Perhaps the reason liberals take offense to this movie is because some good values are displayed?
