Daisy Khan is one of the brainiacs behind the Ground Zero Mosque the Burlington Landing-Gear Receptacle That Place in Lower Manhattan Everybody Is Talking About. She also has perhaps the most confusingly evocative name ever. This morning, she appeared on This Week with Christiane Amanpour.
Displaying the cool impartiality and journalistic rigor that are making viewers everywhere call for the return of Jake Tapper, Amanpour asked Khan if America is Islamophobic:
This is like a metastasized anti-Semitism, thats what we feel right now, Khan said. Its not even Islamophobia, its beyond Islamophobia; its hate of Muslims. And we are deeply concerned.
Second most wrathful Khan ever? Good job staying on message, Daisy. We cant create a dialog and exchange ideas and nurture mutual respect until you bigots shut up!! I dont particularly like Harry Reid and Howard Dean, but Id stop well short of calling them Muslim-haters.
One reason liberals and, um, moderate Muslims like Daisy Khan make such wonderful bedfellows is their unfailing instinct for declaring themselves victims. 9/11 families? What 9/11 families? The real victims here are people like Daisy. How dare you question her judgment? How dare you criticize her plans? Isnt this America??

Yeah, why don’t we build a monument to Japanese bomber pilots who were killed attacking us at Pearl Harbor, or a memorial for German solders who died on D-Day, or Korean Commies who were killed by US Army, or Mexicans killed at the Alamo?
Just asking, I mean let’s be inclusive here!
Well stated. These leftists really stepped on a land mine when they took up this cause. Damaging themselves everyday.
Daisy Khan, an interior designer by profession
In July 2007, Ms. Khan appeared on the cover of Newsweek magazine along with 40 members of ASMA. In the same issue of the magazine, she also co-wrote an article on the symmetry between core Islamic values and the constitution of the United States.
Khan: "No one should be asked to leave their neighborhood. This is our neighborhood and weve been part of it for 27 years. Our opponents are not from this neighborhood We were shut down for four weeks after 9/11. The sad part was that we felt victimized like everyone else in New York because it was our city that was attacked but we were never given permission to mourn."
Asked if America was "Islamophobic," Khan responded that it's like "metastasized anti-Semitism."
Born in Kashmir, Khan spent twenty-five years as an interior architect for various Fortune 500 companies. In 2005, she dedicated herself to full-time community service and building movements for positive change, both in the United States and around the globe.
I think da biatch is suffering from a severe case of Ameriphobia.
Daisy Khan is a New York businesswoman who immigrated to America from Kashmir, in the foothills of the Himalayas, when she was 15 years old. After a period of soul searching as a young woman, during which she went through what she describes as “some very, very dark stages in my life,” she ultimately embraced Islam, the religion into which she had been born.
Khan is inspired by the story in which the Persian poet Rumi says, “I looked for God. I went to a temple, and I didn’t find him there. Then I went to a church, and I didn’t find him there. And then I went to a mosque, and I didn’t find him there. And then finally I looked in my heart, and there he was.”
Khan also draws strength from the story of Muhammad’s first wife Khadija, who succeeded as a businesswoman even in male-dominated Arabian society. She counsels other young women in New York who are trying to balance the practice of Islam with the stresses of a contemporary career.
Daisy Introduces Katie Couric at Peace is Possible by Face To Face in New York City
NYC-November 5, 2007
I am here to introduce a person who needs no introduction but since I have been bestowed with this formality let me begin by introducing myself, I'm Daisy Khan, founder of the American Society for Muslim Advancement. As a Muslim women leader who is working to build bridges between American Muslims and the American public, I have not been part of Face to Face program from its inception. Zoya Rukh, a Face to Face participant who is in the audience today is a high school student who is also an intern at my organization. Zoya says that her life has been transformed by the experience of Face to face. It has made her realize how important interfaith dialogue is in this day and age. Hearing the Face to Face young leaders speak gives me great hope and tonight I believe that our future is in good hands.
There is nobody who understands the need for their work more than Katie Couric. She has seen the devastation of warfare up close while recently reporting the nightly news from the ground in Iraq. For over 20 years Katie has been an authentic voice, our trusted guide and companion in bringing to light the complexities of our world at home and abroad. I personally witnessed this when moments after 9/11 Katie invited my husband imam Feisal Abdul Rauf to discuss this tragic event and how it would change the world we live in today.
But tonight, we are here to celebrate our young leaders, with their commitment to world peace, nightly headlines will begin to change. I dont know anybody else who can report those headlines as well as our distinguished guest present in this room. I dont know Katie personally, so I asked her friends at the table if they could tell me a bit about her. Katie, they said, is committed to peace and re-conciliation, as member of the Brick church she is very assuming, she is a caring mother, downright witty and quite clever. I think that Katie is also a great role model for women, an outstanding journalist and most of all, has the most infectious smile. Muslim sages have a saying that Flattery is the cure for deafness. Katie, I hope I have perked up your ears. Ladies and Gentlemen I now welcome the one and only Katie Couric.

Poor Daisy—it must be awful to be the victim. How much did you contribute, Daisy, to the 9-11 victims’ funds? Why don’t you Muslims put up some money to rebuild the legitimate 9-11 monument? or that Greek orthodox church you blew out of the sky? Just go away and leave us alone—I think I hear your Koran calling you.
Aug 12, 2010 ... Daisy Khan, Muslim American activist tells Sally Quinn a new mosque would ‘reverse what happened on 9/11.’
Tell that to the Israelis.
Stupid Khan.
Dialogue: Daisy Khan, Islamic supremacist mega-mosque imam’s wife, lies about and defames ex-Muslim heroine Wafa Sultan
Besides being an open advocate for Sharia and restrictions on the freedom of speech in his book What’s Right with Islam, Daisy Khan’s husband, the Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, has refused to denounce Hamas. He has lied about his commitment to religious dialogue. He has lied about whether the Islamic center planned for the Ground Zero site will contain a mosque or not. And he has lied about whether or not the project is getting foreign funding. He is involved with a group that helped fund the jihad flotilla against Israel.
And now the courageous ex-Muslim Wafa Sultan reveals that Daisy Khan has openly lied about her, claiming that she invited her to conferences when she didn’t.
for the UNknowing...
This is not a multicultural issue....its far greater
Here in this issue, we get to see the power of Sharia. Cash coming in from Iran, Saudiland etc etc even Pakistan.
When the founding fathers thought of America, their little baby, the last thing they wanted was an invasive force to stifle, smother it, and then overwhelm it and kill it.
Most people do not recognize that what happens in a mosque is sedition. Pure and simple. Islam is not just a religion, it is a cult. Larger than that though, it is a political system, it is its own government, a economic system (which includes funding new mosque construction), its judicial...all wrapped up in the word sharia. This is inclusive of its military (jihadis) all rolled into one with one intent ...and that is to rule wherever they take root. It is a invasive, systemic infection looking to take over the host once it has quantum.
This is not just a religion, but something that cloaks itself in those terms so it should not be given the same treatment contemplated under the first amendment. The Korans Sharia rules are to consume whatever government there is wherever it goes.
Islam is political, and its goal is to supplant and replace. Globally.
When the founding fathers thought of America, their little baby, the last thing they wanted was an invasive force to stifle, smother it, and then overwhelm it and kill it.
The sooner America learns this , the better.
Obama? Obama and Company? Should be tried for treason in this issue for promoting the establishment of a foreign government on our soils. He is doing nothing to protect America as per his oath. Also, as a Muslim, he knows this, he know far better, he knows sharia, but is looking to deceive America.

The other nations suffer the same problems....
Might as well ask Fidel if he wants to set up his government in Florida, and then expand it to the north and west, eating up the nation as the hispanics from Cuba and mexico populated it. Its the same as the competing government of sharia sprouting up across America.
Oh wait a minute.... Fidel needs a mask of religion. Lets let him use the Catholic church!
“Oh wait a minute.... Fidel needs a mask of religion. Lets let him use the Catholic church!”
Not very funny!
In fact your remark is quite insulting to Catholics.
Fidel has persecuted Catholics in Cuba, because he is a Communist,
Catholic Church has been here since the beginning, and many Catholics died on 9/11.
So what your point?
stirring up this crap storm is unnecessary, but why not.
they see that this country is in discord and evenly divided.
iran needs time. she and her husband are are providing, compliments of our media pigs.
