Daisy Khan is one of the brainiacs behind the Ground Zero Mosque the Burlington Landing-Gear Receptacle That Place in Lower Manhattan Everybody Is Talking About. She also has perhaps the most confusingly evocative name ever. This morning, she appeared on This Week with Christiane Amanpour.
Displaying the cool impartiality and journalistic rigor that are making viewers everywhere call for the return of Jake Tapper, Amanpour asked Khan if America is Islamophobic:
“This is like a metastasized anti-Semitism, that’s what we feel right now,” Khan said. “It’s not even Islamophobia, it’s beyond Islamophobia; it’s hate of Muslims. And we are deeply concerned.”
Second most wrathful Khan ever? Good job staying on message, Daisy. “We can’t create a dialog and exchange ideas and nurture mutual respect until you bigots shut up!!” I don’t particularly like Harry Reid and Howard Dean, but I’d stop well short of calling them Muslim-haters.
One reason liberals and, um, “moderate” Muslims like Daisy Khan make such wonderful bedfellows is their unfailing instinct for declaring themselves victims. 9/11 families? What 9/11 families? The real victims here are people like Daisy. How dare you question her judgment? How dare you criticize her plans? Isn’t this America??

To be quite honest, I really don’t get any religion. They all seem to start with real men or real historic events as their hook and then basically lye about everything from that point forward. It’s basically men getting power over other men. Why the masses fall for any of it confuses the heck of me. If you want to get all passionate about stuff that ultimately means nothing, watch the NFL.
With that said, Islam is especially weird right now. They are like the Oakland Raiders of religion. The fact that they are not showing a little sensitivity on this issue of where to build the Mosque more or less proves they are whacked bad in the head. Man, that religion weirds people out!!
So it’s “hate” to mistrust the crowd that preaches hatred of Jews and Christians? So it’s “hate” to want to see no more of the bunch that jumped up and down and shouted for joy as the twin towers crumbled with 3000 people in them?
She and her husband are a real Khan job.
With the economy, debt, immigration, and energy problems - it is hard not conclude that these things are intentional distractions.

Have they unveiled the statue of an Imam hitting the spirits of the victims of 9/11 with his sandal yet?
Or will it be an Imam hitting the families of the victims?
