Israeli official declares: 'We're preparing for war'

While Israel is hoping for a peaceful resolution to Iran's nuclear ambitions, the Jewish state is also preparing for "a time of war," declared a Knesset member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ruling Likud party.
"We are prepared for all risks," said Likud Knesset Member Danny Danon. "And I think our enemies should know that even though we are speaking of peace, we are getting ready for a time of war, as well."
Danon, the deputy speaker of Israel's parliament, was speaking in a radio interview with WND senior reporter Aaron Klein, who hosts an investigative program on New York's WABC 770 AM Radio.
Danon hinted that Israel may take action if the world does not stop the Iranian nuclear threat, recalling Israel's lone strike on Iraq's nuclear reactor in 1981.
Stated Danon: "We are ready for all scenarios, and we are able to defend our civilian population. I cannot tell you how long we can wait more. But we prefer to wait and see if the international bodies are acting, or [whether] it will be only the burden of Israel, like it was in the early '80s, when the great leader, Menachem Begin, [made] the great decision to bomb the nuclear reactor in Iraq."

A day late and a dollar short if you ask me. Should have taken Iran out at least a year ago.

AGREED
They are not going to risk spewing radioactivity all around the Iranian countryside. Shoulda, coulda woulda. The Israelis should have been readying this when GWB was in the WH. Wouldn't have GWB supported with tankering at a minimum, and with Iraq overflight rights??

This should be an interesting thread to watch. Israel is not prone to saber rattling; I wonder what their play is here.

I hear that red wine is a natural antidote for some forms of radiation, something about iodine.
Not much news coming out of Israel lately and they never announce where and what they will do militarily unlike our MSM that will find a way to tell the whole world, “The Americans are coming, The Americans are coming!”

They can't act -before- the reactor is hot in this political environment. Why should they?

THANKS FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND HELPFUL RESPONSIVENESS.
ARE YOU ON THE END TIMES, DREAMS, VISIONS, PROPHECY LIST???
DO YOU WANT ON?
I’ve resorted to using the least frequent level to post most of the time, as there’s just not much time to bother with less than very important things.

With a Muslim in the White House, Israelis should NOT expect a last-minute charge from the US cavalry to save them. It ain’t coming.

Israel is just now changing its armed forces chief of staff. The upper echelons and the government were distracted all week by a scandal involving a forged letter promoting one of the candidates. This is now a police matter. Obviously everybody and anybody had their minds elsewhere. Nothing is going to happen until things settle down.

Please add me, since one of the reasons I pass things along to you is that I know you can then pass them along to others also interested. Thanks and blessings.

They are going to act. MADD does not apply in this situation, Iranian leadership does not care about life (muslims remember) I am not knowledgeable in the field of nuclear weapons and facilities however tactically the Israelis are clever and do not restrict their agents as we do. I would not discount sabotage and/or assassinations which I would support them on 100% I hope they kick their asses. I have been emailing the hubby in AF telling him to pay attention to this situation. My fear is that all the troops have their NBC mask and suits buried at the bottom of a duffel. Long gone are the days of walking around with your mask around your thigh. If anyone else has family over there you may want to send a short email asking them to find their equ., pmc's it and pay attention to the situation.
